Ancient Map for Modern Birth Paperback – February 6, 2017

As a doula and student midwife, I highly recommend this book! The artwork and the exercises in Ancient Map for Modern Birth make reading almost a ritual in itself. The book is very heart centered and calls the reader to trust pregnancy, birth, and their own intuition. There are nuts and bolts deep questions about your beliefs about pregnancy and birth that call you to do a bit of shadow work and to create beliefs that support an enjoyable, healthy experience rooted in honoring the sacredness of this rite of passage.

My daughter insisted I buy this book for a “mom to be” who expressed fear about giving birth. She said this book helped her so much through the days leading up to and through the whole birth process.

An amazing book I strongly suggest to all professionals in prenatal preparation. I can see this book as a textbook in midwifery schools. Pam's holistic approach is described step by step. An amazing guide for health care professionals and pregnant women.Buy it!!!

I love this book. I used it to prepare for my second delivery and found it so useful in helping heal from my first experience and be prepared as well as have reasonable expectations going into my second labor and delivery.

Thank you Pam England for putting your time, heart and experience into this book. We've needed a holistic, soulful guide to birth for so long and this really is it.

Pam England is one of my favorite writers, the illustrations in her current book is amazing and I love all the art. I am still working my way through this edition but her first edition was an amazing read.
