Anyone giving bad reviews because it doesn't hold urine simply doesn't know what a swim diaper is and is supposed to do. No swim diaper holds urine. There's no way for that to work. That would just be a regular diaper.... which yes, does absorb both the pee and the pool or beach water, and it mixes and filters back out before falling apart.... which is why swim diapers are NOT absorbent. They hold solid waste only. You are supposed to put them on just before getting in the water, and yes, your baby's pee will go right through them, like any other swim diaper. These are nice, adjustable, and work the way a swim diaper is intended to.

I will update my review after we have used these in a pool, but I just received these and I was blown away by their size range! I've included pictures of them on both my 55lb 7 year old (who is nonverbal autistic and still not fully potty trained yet) and my 12lb 2.5 month old. They fit my 7 year old just perfectly on the largest snap setting, and my 2.5 month old just perfectly on the smallest snap setting. As you can see in the last picture, there is a good bit of extra fabric around the bottom of my 2.5 month old's booty, but the rise is good and the leg holes fit well. They are well-made, and because they fit both of my boys, I've already ordered another set. I used cloth swim diapers on my 7 year old when he was smaller, but didn't think I could find any in his size anymore and had been using disposable ones. I'm so glad I found these!

These are amazing! Baby #3 is 2.5 months and they fit him snugly on the tightest setting. He pooped while at the pool and we had no idea! My husband fed him while they were both wet and we went to change him to go home and the swim diaper was filled with newborn (not solid) poo. My husband didn’t have any signs of poop anywhere- this actually perfectly contained everything, we were both shocked! I bought this because the pool required reusable swim diapers, and I wish I would have with kids #1 and 2 also! Those disposable ones I used for years are way more expensive and don’t work!

First, these are absolutely not Urine proof (I found that out the hard way). This makes it slightly more difficult as you have to change your little one once you get to the lake, pool or beach and again before you leave. My parents have a pool so we have used these 20+ time already and they have held up wonderfully. Unlike other reviews, I have not found that they hold water but that may be because I am putting them on looser. The numerous buttons allow for a significant change in size so these will be the only swim diapers you will need until they are out of diapers. My little one was about 10 Ibs when we first bought these and is about 18 Ibs now and they work just as well now as before. She has pooped twice while wearing these (one was a significant blow out), and we did not have any leaks. Overall these are a great reusable diaper that I recomend purchasing.

I love these! I have never bought a reusable swimming diaper so I was very worried about its efficiency. But to my surprise, I didn't even know when my little one pooped while swimming because it held it all in. I mean I was checking every minute or two because I was anxious about it the first time, but it definitely did its job. Super cute prints and the elastic around the waist and thighs is good quality. One thing I'm not super psyched about is that it easily got stained on the inside and it's hard to wash out (mine is still slightly stained). I don't know if I just don't know how to take care of it, but that's just my personal experience. Overall, I really like these swim diapers.

I was worried about purchasing these cause they looked sort of big in the other reviews. Since they are adjustable, I went for it. These actually fit my son perfectly! He will be 2 in November and weighs about 25lbs. I didn't have to adjust the size as they fit just right on the loosest notch. The legs were not too tight like others had an issue with. He doesn't have super thick legs, but they're not skinny either. We got these for the beach, so I will update after they actually see the water and sand.

I bought a 2 pack of these for my first son and they lasted for 3 summers before the elastic wore out. He used them at least 3 times a week each summer (in a chlorine pool). I never had to buy any other swim diapers for him and they just seemed so much more comfortable than the bulky disposable ones. Messes were contained in the diaper until i could get him out of the water and Rinsed right out when needed.Cant wait to use them for my second son... hoping they last just as long.

Excellent!! My son started using this when he was 4 months old. He's 12 months old now and still wearing it. Because of the adjustable snaps, this is the only swim diaper he'll ever need. I'm sure it will still fit when he's two. Wish I had known about this when my girls when little. This beats buying a bunch of disposables that they'll outgrow. It's so cute, he wears this swim diaper as his "swim trunks" and saves us a bunch of money from not having to buy various disposables in different sizes.

These work well enough, although the snaps sometimes come undone while trying to wrestle a wriggly baby into them, but once they're on they stay put. My only real complaint is that they are quite small. My daughter is 1 year old and about 20lbs and the largest snap setting is almost too small for her and very tight around the thighs. I was hoping to be able to use them for another season at least but it looks like they'll only fit for another month or so!

Bonitos, prácticos, y me gustaron para la clase de natación solo q se tiene q poner casi en el momento ya q no absorben la pipí; se ayuda al medio ambiente, ya que los pañales para el agua a veces los ocupan un momento y se desechan, a pesar de q yo los usaba dos o tres veces si estaban limpios.

Lleva casi 1 año de uso, son prácticos, cómodos, resistentes y bonitos. Son para usarse al momento de entrar a la alberca/playa ya que al ser diseñados para este uso, se filtran los líquidos fácilmente. Tuvimos un incidente en una alberca al salirse la popó 😖.Los siento ajustados para un bebé de ~11 kilos

A good washable swim diaper. Not the softest fabric, my son finds it a bit scratchy around the elastic but he is usually only in it for a short time so it's fine and does the job. Also does fit a bit small (like all Alva Baby diapers) compared to other brands.
