Pithy little book with pragmatic advice
One big thing that I took off a star for was that this book needs a tighter look at the editing. There are numerous typos scattered throughout. This wasn't a huge deal and didn't really detract from the overall message of the book.I really appreciated how practical the advice in this book was. It stayed away from that weird subset of apocalypse prepper where they are more LARP characters than people talking about disaster preparedness.I picked this book up to try to understand a character for a short story that I'm writing and for that purpose I think it was really helpful. The author is very personable. I quite enjoyed the pithy quotes at the beginning of the chapters and there is humor throughout. I also appreciate it that he kept reminding people that even in the midst of the world falling apart that life was for living and not just surviving. I think that's a message that bears repeating as many times as possible.

Practical no nonsense survival guide
This book reminds me a lot of the SAS survival guide with its no-nonsense approach to survival. Using the novel scenario of a zombie apocalypse to bring real-world survival techniques to light in a fun and entertaining way. Highly recommend this book as it is an enjoyable read!

Meh. Lite read
Poorly edited. Mistakes in spelling, incorrect words, punctuation, s/v agreement, are riddled throughout. Decent info, though less substantial than Max Brooks’ book. Comes off as a clumsily slapped-together vanity publication. Profits go to a good cause if inner leaf is to be believed.
