Beautiful shower pan but water drainage is not acceptableAfter the pan was installed and the surrounding walls were finished with tile, I found out that it did not drain water properly. There were puddles left in the pan. I called the manufacturer for information about the slope of the pan towards the drain and was told that the information was not available. I was also told that the proper way to install it was on a cement base (3/4" thick at the edges and 3/8" at the drain). To do that I had the pan removed ( after removal of the wall tiles) and reinstalled on the proper cement base. With confidence I had the drain reconnected and tiles redone. The costs of reinstalling were considerable not counting the inconvenience.After the grout cured I turned the shower on to see how it was draining. To my horror - the same drainage problem, this time the pooling was at different places on the pan. and the drainage is still very poor. I can not afford to do it over a third time with a pan of different brand. The only thing I could afford at the time was a squeeze to pull the water towards the drain after every shower! I do not know if the pan has the usual minimum required slope for proper drainage since the slope numbers are not available on the drawings and could not be furnished by the manufacturer. From the way it drains (from some parts of the pan) it definitely does not have a sufficient slope towards the drain.I have no idea what kind of precision installation it needs (if at all possible) for proper drainage but I have wasted enough money already to pursue it any more. Some day when I can afford it or get tired of using the squeeze, I will have it replaced with a pan that has descent drainage.

This is a very mixed review. One one hand, I love the low-profile and clean lines of this shower pan. I saw some other brands that have a high lip on them. The front lip is just under 3". The reason for the low rating is that now that it has been installed (and cannot be removed at this point), it does not completely drain. No, it doesn't leave an amount of water that is like standing in a puddle. However, it leave little patches of water in various areas so when you take a shower the next day (for example), there is still water on the pan. You have to essentially squeegee the water towards the drain if you want to not have these puddles.

I decided to take my old bath tub out when a relative tripped getting out of her tub and badly injured her hip. This is a user friendly product. The finish is smooth but not slick. It feels great on your feet. I have an old, arthritic dog and it is easy to keep him bathed with the addition of this base, a good shower chair and a long-hosed shower head. No more hefting him (or me) over the side of the tub. It also makes a small bathroom feel and look larger.

Nothing is better than a Dreamline shower pan. This is the second one I've installed and they are really well made. Double boxed with styrofoam and tape everywhere and the resin is extremely thick. Blows away what Home Depot and Lowe's have. I highly recommend this brand.

OMG, I love this shower pan. Way better than most of the products out there (even better than big name brand stuff). Texture is nice. Used spray foam under to help sturdy and keep from being noisy. Little scratches on arrival but thats ok. Have installed many in my line of work and this seems to be the best.

This shower floor replaced our 6 year old one that cracked in two places--right where we stood. This one is significantly more sturdy than the one we had in previously. We could not be more pleased. We should have gone with this in the first place.

I purchased this as a replacement as I had a leak behind the wall of my shower system. so I demo the shower, bought tile, shower system, and this pan. As of now, because the previous installed drain pipe was not centered, I have to build out the back wall in order to utilize the existing drain. That’s ok, but the real issue I have is the product description did not state, “drain system not included”, unless I missed it. Ugh.

I like the size and it looks good. Well made. I took off one star because I really think it could be a little higher edged. The rim is very shallow and it seems easy to over flow if your water pressure is high. It's very sturdy and my plumber said it's a good pan.

Great shower base. Sturdy and easy to install. However the company took 46 days to charge my credit card causing me to believe it was a fraudulent charge and cancel my card. Then caused further problems with my amazon account. My frustrations then were never acknowledged. This is the only reason I gave it a lower rating.
