Best newborn purchase
The sock gave me the peace to sleep at night while my baby was sleeping. Having lost a child the anxiety was high and this product allowed us to relax knowing we could just open the app and have a check in on him. The alarm is nice and loud and the sock itself does not bother my baby at all, very comfortable fit.

Do not buy
I purchased this item whilst pregnant. I am a bit of a worrier and I knew that I would need something to give me reassurance that my baby was okay whilst sleeping once she was born.We used this product the first night home from the hospital and all I can say is that I am traumatised by it. The sock did not fit and function as it should, causing us to have two false red alarms and several yellow alarms during our first night at home. This caused me so much stress and loss of confidence that I haven’t been able to sleep since unless someone is awake watching my baby, so my partner and I are now taking it in turns to sleep. Don’t waste your money - this product cost me peace of mind rather than buying it.

A sort of ‘fitness tracker’ at best
We thought this would be great to put our minds at ease but it just doesn’t. .The sock really isn’t of any use unless I happen to be next to the base or looking at my phone at that critical time when it goes red. That’s because the way it alerts you to a critical situation is via a normal push notification, playing a little happy chime and the base light going red.Now you could say that it’s for the night time and the base should be next to my bed…. But then you run into the problem if Range and false alerts. Somewhere around 15m and a couple of walls seems to be it’s limit. If your bed is further.. we’ll it’s going to give you a heart attack instead.I could not rely on your system to get my attention if it was needed, which is a bit of a mis-sell given how its described on the sales page. Especially given the money you charge for this thing. As some product feedback I strongly suggest you look at critical notifications on iOS and whatever the Android equivalent is. You could improve the effectiveness 10x with a simple app update.

Very impressed, cleaver idea well executed!
The media could not be loaded. We are about to have our second child in about 5 weeks time and dredging my thoughts back to those sleep deprived first anxious few months of our first born, lying still in bed trying to hear our little boys breathing in the Moses basket makes me think this is a brilliant idea!On top of that its been executed really well, with me not really being able to fault anything about the whole experience from the physical product to the app, which trust me is a rare thing!I did have a slight niggle when setting up the Owlet wifi where I think I put the wifi passcode in the wrong place, but that was me not the product, and it all resolved itself in about a minute anyway. So this is a sock which has a SPO2 monitor as well as a heart rate monitor and sleep monitor all built into a little unit which charges off a puck that sits on your bedside table. This can then relay all the info into a very slick app to notify you if anything is not as it should be, as well as sounding an alarm on the base unit.I've done a review video of what's included and how it all works, and although we haven't been able to try it on our expected baby, i'm still dead impressed. Yes its really quite expensive at over £300 but I feel like its as reassuring as you can get that baby is doing ok whilst safe sleeping in their own cot. Anyway have a look at the video to make your own mind up, I hope you find it useful, but its a recommend from me!P.S. sorry for all my sniffles in the video, I have a stinking cold!

Very poor customer support and constantly disconnects
We wanted this product to use to give us peace of mind while moving our son into his own room at 6 months old. After a month of use, it now disconnects from the sock multiple times a night, alarms and keeps us awake due to poor connection to the sock via Bluetooth. It also keeps disconnecting from the WiFi, making the app useless. Attempted multiple disconnects and reconnects with no change in performance. Also been back and forth with their support team all week and they now just keep giving us the same procedure to do time after time, instead of sending a replacement product. For the price and performance, you might aswell get something cheaper. Would not recommend this product under any circumstances. Terrible support when things go wrong.

It could be better but it was good enough while it worked
It's a great idea however there's too many problems with the connectivity and software, having tried 3 different WiFi networks (3 different routers, yes I have 3) and multiple different phones we were left with somewhat bad taste for it. At the beginning it seemed fine and there was no issues however over time, it started being less responsive and also we were getting notifications from the app it couldn't talk to the base or that it was low on battery even though it was on the base station charging... There were times where it would notify us that there is no pulse detected after we took it off popped it on charger and 2 hours have gone by... Like 2 hours, you wouldn't be able to do anything if you got a 2 hour delayed alarm like this... Don't get me wrong when it works it's great however when there are issues, it just makes you wonder will it work when it needs to? Especially for this price.... We ended up returning ours, maybe in future when the software has been polished we'll try again as the idea is great

Wrong item sent
Monitor and sock itself work great. Took a few attempts for the base station to connect to my wifi. However, problem with our order. We ordered the ‘wild one’ fabric sock bundle, these additional socks weren’t sent with the parcel. Amazon offered part refund, not ideal.
