Crown & Sceptre: A New History of the British Monarchy from William the Conqueror to Charles III

Very readable and enjoyable. I wasn't sure that the last 1000 royal years in one volume would be of much worth but the author has included enough information about each monarch to give a concise and interesting picture of their lives and times.

I am enjoying this book, it’s an easy read and I have found out things I don’t know previously.

Readable chapters on EVERY Monarch from The Conqueror. I think ideal for history students too.

Loved it,to be able to basically write a book which would in no way could cover royalty through the ages, but was able to let us into the world of our royal ancestors up to 21st century and to make it easy to understand our history, tgere are thousands of books on our past royal history,this book was able to let us peak into the world of our royals and make it easy to understand and maybe enlighten us about how they lived and thought,a great read, highly recommend this book.

Great bitesize format, a chapter on each monarch. A good flow from chapter to chapter and very informative.

It’s full of knowledge that I enjoy, cannot find anything to dislike

This book is a fascinating read, particularly the reigns of the monarchs between Victoria and Elizabeth ii of who there is a lack of books. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Tracy Borman is an excellent author who always delivers a fascinating read.

We'll written and excellent introduction to the king's & queen's of Great Britain.
