Striker 2 Mechanical Carpenter Pencil

Outstanding pencil for working on wood, metal, all mediums. Very robust lead, I have yet to have to advance it, I think this pencil will outlive me with the first lead. I better adjust my will and leave this to someone cool!

Poor design the tip stick open and just let's the lead out I threw it in the garbage

Great idea but this pencil is trash. Lead breaks all the time. Click button and the whole lead falls out . Just junk

This carpenter mechanical pencil is very ergonomic and easy to hold. The issue I ran into was for wet wood or lightly damp wood there is a need to press harder down on the lead and the lead would push back into the pencil. The idea is sound but that set me back the time I saved not having to sharpen my pencil. Because of this I gave 4 stars.

This pencil was great for a while but the end that holds the "lead" is plastic and wore out. I have two of these and neither of them hold the "lead" anymore. I mostly used d these to mark drywall and some osb. Each lasted about 2 sticks of "lead". It also didn't mark super dark like a traditional pencil.The convince was nice but I don't think it's worth the price for how little it lasted for me.

After reading reviews from other customers I just had to note the vapid stupidity of some folks. The lead fits inside a plastic “pencil” and locks securely in place through a spring loaded mechanism that corresponds to groves in the lead. Pressing the end cap releases the tension and allows additional lead to extend out the end. Apparently one of the reviewers discovered that if you hold the cap down without obstructing the progress of the lead it will release the entire lead onto the floor. This of course was a clearly shocking discovery which warranted their negative review. I have determined that some folks are too stupid to feed themselves and should not be allowed any writing implement more complicated than a crayon.

Not fit for job site. Let me down at worst time. Maybe at home on work bench. Sticking with old school when on job.(20¢ea.)

This mechanical pencil has made my job much easier. I'm building a 12x12 shed and constantly having to make measurements to cut wood. The lead is thick and durable and easily marks on plywood. With standard carpenter pencils the lead was always breaking off and having to sharpen. I haven't been through one strip of lead yet. I highly recommend this product.
