HG Crafting Large Teflon Bone Folder, Smooth Won't Glaze or Scratch Paper, Fabrics, or Other Surfaces

Yes, this does a great job. However, I find it a little tricky to hold—it’s slippery, and the squared edges are uncomfortable. I tried wrapping it with washI tape, but of course, nothing sticks to Teflon. :) After I bought this, we learned that our well is polluted with a small amount of PFCs, and the state health department installed a water filter in our home. I became concerned about the Teflon containing PFCs, but my husband (an engineer) tells me that Teflon itself is inert—it’s the manufacturing process that creates the problem; so I don’t need to be concerned about handling the bone folder. The folder does everything everyone says it does, but after learning about PFCs, I’m not sure I’d buy it again. I try to maintain a balanced view on environmental issues, but this seems like something worth bringing into the conversation.

I love this bone folder. Be aware, I have ordered this same bone folder three times and only received the correct item the first time. I have talked to Amazon several times about the issue that is causing them to send the wrong item over and over so hopefully they will address the issue so that when you order this product, you get this product instead of the one they have sent me twice.The actual product in the picture and as described is excellent. 😊

This bone folder smoothes all types of paper and is perfect for making cards. This fits very nicely in my hand and has a good weight to it. It glides across paper smoothly, doesn’t leave any residue unlike the cheap bone folders you can purchase at craft stores in the States. This bone folder has easily become one of my favorite crafting tools. It took me some time before I “splurged” on this item. I’m so glad that I did and wished I had done so sooner. I highly recommend!

I like the weight and feel of this bone folder, and especially love that it doesn't burnish the paper when I use it. I will put my old bone folder back in my jewelry tools to be used for burnishing metal, that was it's original purpose anyway!UPDATE: I love this thing so much I've purchased another one to keep with my "crafting with friends" supply tote. That way I will never be without one, no matter where I am!

I ordered this bone folder based on a recommendation from Kristina Werner on her blog. I was a bit skeptical because it's pricey, but I have to admit that it's exactly as she said and well worth the price. It has a wonderful, silky feel; the shape and weight make it easy to hold. Most of all, it folds the creases in paper without leaving behind a shine on the paper. I use 110# base weight paper for my cards and and mini-albums. It can be difficult to fold that weight with a nice, crisp line but this bone folder does it perfectly.

A fellow crafter recommended this bone folder to me as I was not happy with the hard plastic ones leaving marks on my cardstock. I thought it a tad pricy but it is worth it. It is comfortable in my hand and leaves no marks or shiny spots. I strongly recommend it. I love it!

I waited and waited to purchase this item because I could not bring myself to pay this much for a bone folder. I am now kicking myself for not purchasing this sooner. I make hundreds of cards for clients and this bone folder makes a HUGE difference. In addition to not marring the cardstock, it glides over the surface so easily. I find that it really cuts down on my hand fatigue. It is a GREAT investment for your crafting!!!!

This bone folder does a great job of creasing cardstock without leaving a shiny mark like so many others. It is a little thick for my hand. If you have small hands you might want to keep that in mind.
