Guard The Throne

This was such a good book to me! It had everything a good "hood" book needs to be amazing: love, drugs, sex, murder, fights, betrayal, & hate! I had a love hate relationship Citi sometimes I loved her and then her actions would make me hate her but it ended with loving her! The way she held her family down when it came right down to it was straight "GANGSTA" lol the whole ordeal with her and her best friend Lola had me like "Whaaaaaaaaat?!"(When you read the book you will know what I'm talking about). There is so much I want to say with this review but can't lol but I will say one thing THAT DANG GONE MAINO!!!!!!!!!!! Just get the book you won't regret it it was a good read and worth the money! I know this review wasn't as detailed as my others but once you read the book you will understand why I couldn't.

Guard the Throne is a page turner. Some parts of the book were a little slow for me but once I really got into it, I couldn't put it down. Cane, Chris, and Citi are a bunch of ghetto fabulous spoiled kids that get the shock of their lives. After their father is mysteriously murdered, their lives as they know it start to crumble. The three siblings learn how to stay afloat and defend their family name by building a lucrative drug empire. But with all the enemies they have made and the enemies of their deceased father, it's hard for the Byrne family to stay on top of the throne.

Ok now I must say when I read this book I was expecting Fireworks. Nisa always gets a 5 star from and this one I had to rate as a 4.5.. It started off a little slow at the beginning but as the story line went on it was off the hook. I was pissed to finish it because I was into it so much and the ending was a cliff hanger.. Nisa we need another one!!!! Go ahead Nisa

Not my fav book by her, but still good . Couple plot twists in there that kept the story going

This book was ok. Read several other books from the author, and could not put them down. This book was lacking the climax I was expecting. There was a mini climax, but then it kinda went flat in my opinion. I am a seasoned reader, so maybe a beginner would enjoy this. Gave it four stars for effort, as it was alright.

I have not read this book yet but I have read all of the" Baddest Chick Novels' and I am waiting for "FACE OFF". Nisa is a great urban fiction wiriter who has believable characters, lots of drama and lots emotional turmoil in her story lines. The baddest chick series is all about young beautiful sexy women who become empowered, self reliant and forces to be reckoned with. If Guard the Throne is even half as good I need to get started right away and read it.

I am huge Nisa Santiago fan. I really liked this book. She introduced us to the Byrne family. A family that didnt take no bull****. When faced with adversity they draw from the strength of their father to regain their throne. Trust me this throne definitely comes with a price. It seems by the way it ended that there definitely has to be a part 2. I would love to find out what happens to Chris, Cane and Citi. Overall you will not be disappointed. Buy it.

nisa santiago did it again.. she brought the heat with this novel.. i will say that it goes from being extremely detailed to pretty much rushed at the end.. it was building up like it had the potential for a sequel but then it rushed to an ending.. however this novel will not disappoint so grab it and read it

I really like this book. There was a lot of great action. Really well written. Going on to the next book by this author
