This item is a piece of junk! Within 7 days of having it, the top which is made of a piece of rubber sandwiched between a layer of plastic, started to come apart. I tried clamping it back together, sadly it didn't work. Also the top just rests on the "X" legs which means if you move it or pick it up, you must pick it up in pieces since it has no way of keeping the top & legs together. Also the plastic if very cheap, when I set it down to reassemble the pieces (carefully of coarse) the one piece of the leg shattered into 3 pieces. This was a waste of money. I would have requested a refund but sadly life (that ends) gets priority over a piece of junk like this.** UPDATE **July 2017: I received a package in the mail today that I wasn't expecting! I received a replacement of the product with a hand written "Thank You & Apology" card from the company president. I also was refunded the purchase amount. This customer service is really outstanding and untouchable. I was touched that a president of a company would care so much. He stated that the items production process was improved and I find that the item has improved. This item is now worth every penny! I use this for holding many $22+ artist brushes.

Without asking for it I received a polite email from eSOS after I posted first review. Email advised a replacement item was on the way to me with improvements made. Very good customer relations and support. Nice touch indeed. I put the new product together. This one doesn't fall apart when lifted off counter. It still wobbles a bit but is acceptable since it stays put and in one piece when assembled. THANK YOU eSOS. ->THE FOLLOWING IS MY EARLIER REVIEW:This product works well however, the double side glue tape that is sandwiched between the 2 layers that have the compression holes for brush handles comes apart when you try removing a brush. The 2 plastic pieces that function as the stand are not equal in length so item wobbles plus they do not fit the portion cutouts securely so that when you move or pick up the stand the 2 support pieces fall out. This is a very inexpensive product so putting up with its design faults is just fine with me.

UPDATE: I was given a refund and sent a new product (via 1-day shipping), which I immensely appreciate. I have upped the rating to 4 stars due to the excellent customer service (pretty impressed with the shipping).The protective wrapping was pretty difficult to get off and it was a little difficult to get the 'x' to align and fit together nicely.I looked past all of that and decided to test it out with some makeup brushes I had just got today. Everything was doing ok until I took a few brushes out and the plastic/rubber sections completely separated. I had to then take out all the brushes and realign everything to get the bottom back on since the 'X' slots has misaligned themselves from the rubber slipping around.Perhaps everything being separate is an intended feature but it's incredibly difficult to use a brush stand that doesn't allow you to remove 1 brush without the entire thing going wonky and requiring you fix it.

*update* wow!! This seller is amazing! Reached out to me immediately! Great customer service! I was sent a new brush rack and let me tell you the new one is amazing! It didn't fall apart or break like the first one. With customer service like this I'm willing to give this seller another try! :)This brush holder is very pretty and worked great the first time I used it. It broke after 1 use when I was taking the brushes out of the holder. The 2 plates separated from each other causing the silicone brush holder part to come loose. Returned to seller.

I would have given this another star if I wasn't so annoyed with the packaging. Every single little piece had this protective sheet on it. And it was practically impossible to start peeling. There needed to be a corner to start it or something. I had to take a nail file and scrape it so I could get an edge to start peeling. It took a long time just to get it opened so I could put it together. I do love being able to hang my brushes upside down to dry now. The different sizes of holes are perfect for any type of brush.

I'm giving three stars because the company is great with customer satisfaction but unfortunately neither the one I ordered or the replacement held up after one use.

it's not very study nor its it well put together. I'm considering using gorilla glue in the middle X to keep the legs from detaching from the base.
