Cutlery Combo, 1 Pack

I have been searching for some biodegradable cutlery for a while. I really enjoy this brand. They are sturdy, and hold up to multiple washings if you want them to last a bit longer. I've never had one degrade, so I can't say how long they will last, but I'm going to say quite some time. When you open the package, they do have a strong smell to them, but after being exposed to air, the cutlery loses the smell quickly. For that reason, I opened, and thus aired out, all of my cutlery at once. Then, I put them away for storage, and the odor did NOT return. The spoons hold the same amount of food as any regular metal spoon. The forks stab into foods, and hold them, just as easily. The knives are sharp. I will be purchasing these again whenever I run out.

I think all the other reviews are correct - it's true the forks are a bit smaller than standard sized forks, but they are pretty normal sized for disposable forks, so I had no problem with this. They also definitely smell like vinegar, especially when you first open the bag. However the smell wasn't noticeable once I put these out for guests and they didn't actually taste like vinegar (or any flavor, which is good!) Overall they were pretty sturdy and did their jobs, I think for the price these are a pretty good option and I would purchase again.

I bought these for a huge party that I was throwing. When I opened up each package, I immediately noticed this vinegar smell. Yuck. So I aired them out on my counter overnight. They still smelled, but we used them anyways. After a week of being left open, the vinegar smell is less but still lingering. I'll have to wash these before I use again. The knives are sharp enough to cut through tougher items. It probably wouldn't do a steak, but did perform better than expected. A three utensils will melt quickly with hot items. You will want to be careful with hot soup and stirring hot coffee. I cut up steaming hot food to cool down for the kids and the knife and fork warped. I do love that they are biodegradable.

Ordered these to cut down on plastic use at a student event. Liked everything about them except that the biodegradable flatware in recyclable cardboard boxes came separated in...guess what? That's right, plastic bags. Seems like a cardboard divider or a simple rubber band or no separation at all would be a better approach.

I purchased this for an organization that is trying to lower our environmental impact when we hold dinner meetings. Some of the forks were broken in the box - but for the most part, they were stable to use and eat with. I recommend them.

I use this cutlery at work so I don't throw away tons of plastic every day, and I have been buying them for a few years now. They are very good, and are not comically small like the other reviewer claims. They are not big and bulky and therefore don't take up a ton of room in my desk. The only drawback with them is that you have to be careful to not use the forks with extremely hot foods (like bubbling-hot lasagna right out of the microwave) because the fork tines will bend. Otherwise, these are great!

For our wedding, I wanted to keep almost everything eco-friendly. This cutlery was a great way to do just that. It is sturdy, looks nice - unlike regular plastic material, and was also budget-friendly. I received a lot of compliments on my choice, which was reassuring as it was used for our wedding!I read a review where the reviewer complained of size- I didn't notice any discrepancies with sizing, it seemed normal to me. Would recommend to anyone looking to save some money, but also be environmentally friendly!
