X-Sense Hardwired Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector, Hardwired Interconnected Smoke and CO Detector Alarm with Replaceable Battery Backup, XP04, 3-Pack

Packaging was good, instructions easy to follow and complete. Installed each unit in about 15 minutes. Worked as advertised, no problems.

Easy to install and works great (I assume).

The installation was a little problematic. I had a bit of trouble getting them to install flush on the mount. The green LED light received complaints from three out of four members of my household, so I had to put tape over the lights so they weren't so bright. My biggest complaint is that there is some sort of issue that makes the alarms chirp (loudly) when we start the vacuum cleaner. Whatever little surge that causes upsets the alarms and can be quite startling. Overall, just satisfactory.

Easy installation even for a DIY person like me.. Followed the instructions & they paired right up. I like the fact of the pairing. 1 goes off the others go off. Has a bright green light to let you know they're on. Flashes to let you know they're paired. Remember these are a hardwired set up not battery. Well worth the $ spent. Not over sensitive like the batter operated alarms

I had existing smoke detectors but we decided we should add the CO detection near the gas stove and in the main bedrooms. The install required opening the breaker that provides power to the detectors. Once that was done, a screw driver and a step ladder was all I needed. The detectors I was replacing were similar design but made by another manufacturer. I had hoped that the plugs would be compatible, but they weren't. There were two screws that had to be removed to replace the detector base. Once they were removed it was easy to get access to the wiring. In my system the detector "plug" was connected with wire nuts. I untwisted the nut for one wire and connected the wire that matched the color of the wire in the detector electrical box. I repeated that approach the remaining two wires. I pushed the excess wires up into the box above the ceiling. Stuck the plug through the hole in the base plate making sure that it was oriented correctly so that the detector would easily twist on as designed (There was a 50/50 chance to put the base plate on upside down.). I installed the two screws making them just tight enough to keep the base plate flush with ceiling. Installed the battery. Mounted the detector easily by twisting it onto the base plate. Once I restored the power to the installed detectors, I pushed the test button and verified that all of the detectors sounded whenever any one of the test buttons was pressed. - You can do this, but be sure to open the fire dedector breaker before starting, a 120 vac shock is, well ...very shocking.

So I live in a townhouse where the association does a yearly inspection of smoke alarms to ensure each unit is up to code. I was not aware the current detectors I had were “battery” only and to meet code I must have hard wired units. I started doing my research and landed on these X-Sense Combo Smoke & Carbon Monoxide detectors. The 3 pack was priced right, the features I wanted were in these models so I purchased. They arrived with everything needed in the box…even the back up batteries & hardware. They installed quickly, the universal mounting bracket fit the previous mount so had 3 installed, tested in less than 30 minutes, & they work!!! They are a little bigger than the previous units I had but will be OK. In my opinion these are a super value & bundled In a 3 pack to find a “combo” detector like these you are well over $100 for other brands. X-Sense seems to have it dialed in, 5 year warranty so I think these are a WIN! I can sleep at night knowing I am covered from my basement to top floor. Thanks…X-Sense nice offering!

I liked the features on this: ability to determine which detector was triggered, and big button that could be pressed with a stick; don't need a ladder at 3am for a false alarm.I replaced all 7 detectors in my house with these. I had to rewire all the connectors in my ceiling because these use a different connector than alarms made by more common brands.At first it seemed like they were working, except the LED patterns didn't match with what the manual said. I got expected green LEDs at first. But, the self-test button didn't trigger an individual-alarm test. However, it could trigger an interconnect test, and all 7 detectors would beep. But, the LED pattern made no sense: the green LED (indicating power-on) would light only on the detector that was most-recently used to run the interconnect test. The other 6 detectors seemed to be just dead. But, if I ran an interconnect-test from one of the seemingly dead detectors, they would all spring to life and run their tests, and then the one I most recently pressed would stay green while the others went dead.I was suspicious as to whether they were actually working, so I bought some smoke test spray for testing these. It is rated specifically for these UL 217 detectors. I tried on several of the smoke-detectors (both with green LED on and off), but none of them would trigger an alarm when sprayed. (I also tried using smoke from a lit match, which also didn't work. But apparently, this style of optical detector is smart enough to not trigger a (false) alarm from the smoke just from a small match.)I e-mailed the X-sense customer support, but received back a useless message with a copy of the instructions in the manual. Then I called the X-Sense customer support phone. The person on the phone didn't seem to be able to help me solve the issue and immediately just said they were probably defective and I should try to exchange them with Amazon.So, I did that. I returned all 7 detectors and replaced with 7 new ones. Same exact problem. These are just junk and X-sense is useless at customer support. These are getting returned and I'll switch to a different brand.

Bought this to replace a builder grade unit. The original unit malfunctioned after 3 years. It was part of a network of 4 units. One goes off, they all go off. To replace with same manufacturer would have been way more than this unit. This unit meets or exceeds all required parameters so giving it a try with little hesitation. Hoping to never find out if it has any issues or performs flawlessly!

Klein und fein, leicht zu installieren und zu verbinden. Kann nunmehr die Alarme per App lokalisieren und ausschalten. Einfach top - eine gute Ablösung für meine 6 Einzelmelder.

I loved this for the fact that if it goes off then it sends an alert to my phone. I have also got the fire alarms. If you’re not in the house you wouldn’t know they are going off, so I love the phone alert feature. You can check the app for battery life and when you last tested alarm and when they went off, and multiple people can have the app too. Feel that the home is a bit more safe having these.

Pratique et discret la fonctionnalité connectée est top. Un gabarit de perçage est fourni pour la fixation. Très satisfait.

Mega einfach zu Konfigurieren.Die Melder sind sehr wertig!Einfach zu konfigurieren und anzubringen ebenso. Man fühlt sich sofort sicherer! Kaufempfehlung!
