Fatal Flaw
We love these clocks, my daughter and I each got one. The sunlight wake up feature works for us. The problem - if you have a day off work, a weekend, or you just wake up ahead of the alarm - there is no way to shut the alarm feature off. You have to physically unplug the clock and reset it to turn off the alarm. I asked the seller to help me with this - if it's simple to figure out - but no response. The directions don't give any help in this either. Bummer. Really wanted to keep these, but will be sending back.UPDATE 5/30/2017 - decided to keep the clocks after researching and finding most natural light alarm clocks are similar in that they don't allow you to shut off the alarm easily. However, they are going back now. After they both went off randomly in the middle of the night waking us up to bright light at midnight, 2 a.m.,etc, we were frustrated. My daughter shut hers off at 2 a.m., and it went off again at 5 a.m. These are junk.

Great concept gets dashed by poor UX and under interaction design.
Unique concept but poor UX design of the interface leads to frustration for the user. It's not intuitive at all. You'll find yourself struggling to set it up and you must read the directions. The buttons very touch sensitive which depends on how you touch it. It's not a big button to turn it off in the morning and the lighting system through unique in the color options is a fail because it doesn't seem to sink up with the alarm/music/radio. So you can set both and both have separate buttons, yet you'll find that they don't go off at the same time. Yes, you can set the clock, but it tends to default to midnight unless you hold down a button in a number of sequences to set the time to another time. So I would say for 10.00 this is fine, but not more than that. It's around the display and the soft orange is fine because the time clock won't wake you up. It's an okay night light/reading light and you can adjust the brightness. I would have the designer go back and rethink the buttons solutions. Could there have been better toggle buttons on the back to help set it up? What about different sound birds in the morning? That's fine for most people, but the option of the radio is fine also. Speakers are not high quality so you will hear a bit of an echo on it if you turn it up too loud. Clever idea but poor UX and interaction with the customer. I have tried using it for 4 months. I hate it. You have to stair into it to turn it off. Terrible product. I really don't like how you have to stare at the clock blinding yourself to turn it off. The buttons are very sensitive and if your power blinks, it will default to midnight waking you up! The plug in the back is sort of weak so it toggles off and on with the power, so it isn't trustworthy as an alarm clock. I think I'll get rid of it.

I purchased this for my 6 year old daughter with the hopes of getting her used to sleeping without a nightlight and waking up to an alarm clock. All colors of the lights, even set on the lowest light setting brighten her entire bedroom and shine down the hallway. The alarm itself goes off after 2 minutes and does not come back on. So if you're a heavy sleeper or your child is, this is not ideal. Very cheaply constructed for the price paid.

Overall good... Can't dim colored lights.
We really like this light but wish the color option had a timer setting as well. You can't dim the colored lights either which is a huge bummer for my son. Otherwise he really likes it.

it's a great way to wake up!
My daughter just started kindergarten. She's up with the sunrise setting every morning without the grumpy alarm face. It wakes her up naturally with light and she loves it!
