covert operations and operators
Almost too much to process, with guns and money, and how life can be so terrible in the world’s worst places. Life is cheap and innocents die. I highly recommend this book, but, it is disturbing.

Fascinating Read
Very interesting and hard to put down. You get an up close and personal view of a life you don’t really hear too much about out.

Is it worth the loss when our politicians are so shallow
Good stories. A relevant but overlooked view/cost to war and the inevitable price of democracy whether you want it or not.

Great, honest read
Very well told and written book. For Americans, there is some real honesty here that we don't normally get from other media specifically regarding certain events that you may be interested in. I appreciate the honest rendition.

Excellent
This is a well written and absorbing book. It gives the reader a look into war not covered except in the headlines with no coverage in depth. It is amazing to me that men would fight under the conditions they do.

Great read with insight into the hidden world of the contract world.
The reader will enjoy a great story that brings reality to the world of hidden wars and the people that make a living doing the fighting.

A quick read.
A quick read and insight into how things work in a world where the bad guys often have the advantage and freedom is not free without those who have to take on the messy work of settings things right. Thanks.

Well worth a read
Always makes you think how things get done in the most dangerous places in the world. Plus type of ex forces do this kind of work. This guy is a true professional trying to keep order in the chaotic world of private military contractor.Definitely worth a read.

Great story, good insight.
There's quite a lot of detail in here and clearly the guy has been on the ground, whatever his name is. There also seems to be quite a bit of potentially sensitive info given on back door arms deals to arm rebels and how this murky world works. The negative reviews are interesting when looked at in that context...

... on a bit of a whim as I was bored at the time
Not sure why I bought this book I suppose it was on a bit of a whim as I was bored at the time. I should have known better having spent half my life in the British armed forces. What a waste of cash. I suspect the author has read a few books in his time and has told more porkies than Walter Mitty. I failed to get past the first half a dozen pages before I gave it to a charity shop. I suspect there is not one word of truth in this book and I very much doubt the author has ever served in BRIT MIL as he puts it. complete dribble.
