Easy to install & use
Almost as high quality as the original that was on my expensive storm door for ten years. So glad it was not made in lack of quality control communist china. Did not cost that much.

Practical fix
Good, simple fix to lock a storm door. I lost or misplaced the keys to the lock on the storm door I have and installed this one as a security measure. After reading the instructions I chose to improvise to suit my circumstances and it works great.

LIKE A GLOVE!!
Product came pretty quick got it in a day, no issues installing took me all of 5minutes. You will need some sort of metal cutting tool (tin snips, hacksaw or grinder) to cut the lock shaft otherwise no issues and works perfectly.

Good product, unobservant owner...need one of these with brass colored external hardware but black color indoor-facing hardware.
Bought one of these to replace the original storm door deadbolt that came with the Wright made door. Product installs easily and can be tailored to fit the thickness of your storm door. There are videos on youtube on how to install a product like this, which of course also simplifies the installation further. Fit and finish on this product is good, no chipping or scratches were visible on any parts and everything fits together cleanly without having to force parts together or "make them fit' via force. The one thing I did notice after the purchase is that our original storm door deadbolt was brass finish on the outside hardware and black finish on the interior hardware on the indoor side of the storm door. So the all black replacement that I ordered is not a great match on the outside, but that's my own fault for not accounting for that before ordering this product. In an ideal world, the manufacturer would allow you to select different color / finish exterior hardware from the color / finish of the indoor-facing hardware for this model of deadbolt. All things considered though, I would still recommend this product to others.

Durable lock with easy installation
The media could not be loaded. First off, if someone wants something bad enough, this lock isn’t going to stop the bad guy. However, this helps deter the average thief by the simple fact, that they usually want to work smart and not hard. This lock feels heavy and seems pretty sturdy. I had it installed and ready in about 20 minutes. I am not the guy to measure everything, so I eyeballed the location to fit the needs of my door. I also estimated the length of the center bar and it snapped off fairly easy just using pliers. As far as my situation, I had to improvise and use the space between the “z” bar and door jamb for it to lock. I drove a 5” screw through the bar for added strength. All in all, I’m happy with the lock, and will likely order another one for my back door.

I like it.
I read the reviews for this lock and then purchased same. I already bought the gold handle set and the wife decided she wanted a lock. So I bought them separately to make the full set etc.. What I like. For a screen door lock it has a heavier deadbolt than most. No, it’s not heavy security but if you can use the strike positioned to reinforce the screen frame and and keep every thing as close as possible you will gain more security than is typically achieved. You will probably need the inside spacer. 2 would have been useful for some installs. As one reviewer said, dry install before drilling. Time will tell. Right now I don’t think you can do better anywhere close to the price. Measure twice!

Have to come back an change my review
Good Friday morning I awoke to a dirtbag trying to use a screwdriver to get past this lock, it not only lasted long enough for me to wake up an deal with the wanna be thief, but it still is working now, true I'm buying a new one to replace it, since the cover of the lock is a bit bent.I frightened him off, an called Police.Below is what I said before.Making this lock pretty useless, and I'll probably have to buy another one just for that little cheap tab that goes between the lock and the lever. Yes this comes with a bunch of useless screws and bolts you don't need, but the one part that you could use two of, oh that they only give you one, and there's no way to secure it inside the lock. So when you take it apart to adjust things, it grows legs and is gone forever.

No Strike Plate
The lock mechanism is fine. The key turns well, and the lock moves easily. There are a couple of DEFINITE flaws, though. The template does NOT mention setback from the door frame. It only shows where it's supposed to go on t he door. If your storm door had a gap between the storm door's frame and the main door's frame, then this would work. In the case of mine (and probably most!), the storm door's frame is secured to the main door's frame. To lock the door, you have to cut away a piece of the frame, which is fine, as that's what one would do with a regular door's deadbolt to function, too. The flaw here is that, unlike a deadbolt for a main door, this kit does NOT include a strikeplate, which means you're left with an ugly gouge like this, without a plate to neaten it up. I see this as a major flaw. Obviously, my cut can (and will) be done much neater, but this is how it looks to get the deadbolt working immediately.

Stay away
Seemed easy enough to install but once I had it all together the key would not turn the locking mechanism. Loosening the screws resolved this so I figured maybe the holes I drilled were not quite aligned. In trying to widen the screw holes the flat bar that turns the latch fell inside the screen door. I cannot take the door apart to retrieve the bar. That was not the fault of the product but if the alignment was to be so precise there should have been a better mounting template.

Not Satin Nickel
Locks well but the website states the colour as Satin Nickel but its actually Satin Chrome. Colour is close but not what I thought I was buying. They refunded me but the website still says colour is Satin Nickel when its not.

Quality Item
The keyed deadbolt is for my screen door. It is a perfect match for the other hardware on the door. It was difficult to find the item in my local store and I was happy to find it on Amazon.

measure your porch door
Be sure to measure your porch door before purchasing this. I had to purchase this item twice because the middle silver piece easily fell inside the door due to difficulty installing. My second time purchasing this realized fitment wasn't right and had to get the silver metal cut off using a machine
