Q: Will this adhere to fiberglass Gelcoat?

Thank you for your question. Given that the hot-melt glue requires heat activation, we would not recommend this against a surface which could also be activated by heat. However, if your gelcoat has a high melting point or you are OK with its surface becoming tactile during the process, then you are welcome to try using our pre-glued melamine edging. Q: In a spot where I cannot iron on. Glue ok?

Thank you for your question. We recommend activating the hot-melt glue using a hairdryer in places which are hard to reach with an iron. The hairdryer should be on a low heat setting. Once the glue is warm the edging can be pressed into place with a cloth. Take care not to touch the edging or the glue directly, which may have become hot. Q: Can this tape be sanded and painted?

Thank you for your question. This item is made from Melamine and is not wood, therefore does not require sanding. However it can be painted on if desired. We hope that helps, The Real Wood Workshop.
