I needed flash cards because I wished r to create an activity for a workshop that I run for adults. I spent a long time looking because I wanted a variety of colors and they needed to be a particular size. I came across these on Amazon and ordered them. You can never be 100% sure that you'll receive what you order on Amazon because photos can be deceiving but in this instance I was pleasantly surprised. The cards are the perfect size and made of a good, durable stock. I have used them over and over again without noticeable wear and tear. The container is not the strongest plastic and if I had my way I'd ask for a more rigid material because I would have liked to have kept the cards in the container, however, this does not detract from the fact that this is an incredibly good product and a great buy at the price. I will definitely purchase again.

They have worked great for the intended purpose.

I bought these cards for language study, and they're working perfectly for my needs. They're durable and the right size and texture--I'm using markers on them, and the writing doesn't bleed through the cards at all. The variety of colors makes it easy to categorize the subjects I'm working on. The container is flimsy like a clear egg container and the closure isn't that tight, but it keeps all the cards together in one place and that's all I really need. I'd repurchase these without hesitation.

I like the cards because they are unlined. That lets me adjust my handwriting to how much space is available and not get writers cramp. I use a hole punch to make a corner hole, and then stick binder rings in them. Great for organizing. I like the colors because I was assigning different colors to different subjects. The one flaw in this product is that the plastic case is only a standard plastic clamshell product package with the added feature that you can open and close it. If you drop the case or it gets knocked over, there is a good chance that it will spill open and you have to pick them up. The case also doesn't allow any leeway to put something slightly different size in them. This is better than the half index card size because it lets me write more sideways with longer lines instead of having to wrap around as often.

I was not sure that I made the right decision in getting index cards, even when I got them today I was a bit on the fence. But when i took out individual cards and wrote some Spanish vocabulary words, and then practiced some Chinese characters on others, I liked them quite a bit.I think my initial issue was the size and price. I thought that the size was small and the price was less, therefore the quality must be on par with the 99 cent variety. But I was wrong. I do like the size and the quality is sturdier. I like the colors too.I finished the first 1,100 cards with Chinese characters and Spanish verbs, and to gain fluency I need to do another 1,000 more characters, so Debra Dale Designs to the rescue.-Disclaimer- I was motivate to write this review in order to receive a discount, however, this review is honest and fair and solely based on my own experience with the product.

Love the colors and packaging. Perfect for the classroom.

I have begun to teach myself Latin, and I ordered these cards to use as inexpensive flashcards. I thought the paper and box would both be pretty flimsy, given the price. I was pleasantly surprised to find paper quality equal to normal 3x5 cards. I can write and draw on both sides with a thick black gel pen and nothing shows through. Also the box is wonderful. It's very sturdy, with a flip up lid and strong Velcro closure. I can store the cards in the box and not worry about it falling apart with years of use.As an extra, I was happy to see that the box is a bit taller than the cards, so I've been able to insert cardboard dividers. I use them to keep track of my review sessions.. It's great to be able to close the lid firmly on everything.This is a great product at a great price. I'll definitely be buying more.

3/2014: I'm a senior in pre-med and it has worked wonders for me. I have already gone through half the box. They are wonderful! I will probably end up buying 2 or 3 more boxes.UPDATE: 6/2014I first bought these in January 2014, it is now June and I have since purchased 2 more boxes, and will probably purchase more before the fall semester! The quality is outstanding! Everyone at school asks me where I got these, and every time I send them here. These have been the best investments for study materials I have found! Perfect for all biology classes, chemistry classes, and studying for the MCAT! You will not be sorry if you purchase these, they are worth it!2nd UPDATE: 9/1/2014The new semester has just started and I bought another 2 boxes of flash cards. These things have been my saving grace. The smaller size is perfect for me since I never use the entire 3x5 flash cards. They are a perfect size and they are a durable enough material to put in a purse! Other purchasers have said that the plastic case is of low quality, I don't find that to be a detriment to the product itself. I often put the plastic case filled with flash cards, in my purse to study and work on MORE flashcards during my long breaks between classes. The plastic case can crack, but it hasn't caused any issues. I have purchased many boxes of these flash cards (probably 5 or 6 now), and I have not had any problems with the box completely breaking, or with keeping the lid closed. I prefer this case for the price, rather than a more heavy duty case with a higher price. As for the reviewer that left one star, I have too, purchased that brand of flash cards; however, they are of much lower quality and are not the robust quality I crave in a good flash card. The colors have slightly changed since my first 2 purchases. Before the colors were a more pale, pastel, color. Now they have are a bit more vibrant (very close to what is seen in the picture advertised), which is nice (although the pastel was nice too!). Overall, I will continue to purchase these flash cards. They do their job, and are the best out there that I have tried!UPDATE: 10/25/2014It is time for more note cards, and I find the price has doubled since my first purchase. What is with the changes in price? When I first bought these, they were $9, now they are $20. I love these flash cards, but I cannot spend that much on flashcards. It is a major letdown, unfortunately I will have to opt for a cheaper set. I love these note cards, but they are not worth $20 a box. They need to stay Amazon Prime and NO MORE THAN $13-$14 dollars per unit to even be considered competitive with the others offered on Amazon. Like I said, my original purchase was $9 per unit, the quality has not changed since then, so why did the price? I'm a huge proponent of these flashcards and I have told all of my classmates about them; but, this price is out of hand.
