AudioControl ACR-U, Universal Remote Volume Control

Work as expected and good quality

First of all I love the concept of this. I have a Taramps amp and if you know about this brand, they dont include bass knobs so this is where audio control comes in. This remote was the missing piece of the puzzle that i needed for my system and man im in love with it thanks to audio control for the awesome products. This and their epicenter is a deadly duo. Hard and sturdy feel to it. Definitely worth the money.

This is a fairly nice piece. No one noise with adjustments, nice ability to separate the knob from the rest of the device, etc. It'd be nice if the knob portion was a little longer instead of wider for dash mounting, but that's ok. My main gripe is that this is marketed as a volume control, but the taper isn't great for master volume. I'm using a Bluetooth receiver (the Audio Control ACX-BT1), and wanted a real knob for the volume instead of my phone buttons. The curve of this control is clearly designed to be have more range at higher volume levels. If you want quiet, normal volumes which allow conversations in the car, you're working in a very small region at the bottom of the knob's range, and consequently tiny movements have a fairly large impact. Get this for level matching where you're going to be have it cranked way up. But get something else if you want a main volume control.

Ideal remote if you want to add volume control to subwoofer or any stereo for car audio.
