Wasn't ready for the Fish Burps
I needed regular vitamins and for some reason didn't realize the liquid half of the capsule was fish oil. If you're taking it for that, beware of the fish burps. My reflux worsened some and the fish cut through every meal for the next 18 hours with horrid tasting burps. I stopped using fish oil years ago because of this. Sadly, I wasted my money by not reading every ingredient very carefully. Lesson learned.

Horrible vitamins!!
We’ve used Smarty Pants gummies for our kids for years. I was excited to see these bc I’ve been looking for a good multivitamin that contains omega 3. The idea that I could take one vitamin in place of two was a big appeal along with the Smarty Pants quality I’ve come to expect, so I ordered two bottles. I was beyond disappointed with this product. First, when I opened the bottle the smell was overwhelming. It is a rancid fish oil smell. I have never smelled such a strong, unpleasant odor from ANY omega product I have ever taken and we take Omega oil daily. Second, as soon as you put the vitamin in your mouth, the rancid overly sweet taste floods your mouth. Even taking it with a flavored drink did nothing to help with the taste. Just taking the vitamin out and holding it in your hand, makes your hand stink. Third, you start burping this up 30 minutes after taking it. The burps are just as rancid smelling as the pill itself. I had indigestion for a week straight after starting to take these. For some silly reason I didn’t realize that these vitamins might be causing the discomfort. I suppose I didn’t realize it bc I’ve NEVER had a vitamin make me feel this way. After a week of suffering through the indigestion and burps, I decided to skip a day and go back to my Naturelo vitamin and it was like night and day. I had no indigestion, no burps, no sour stomach. I was hoping that maybe it was just my body and not the vitamins so I explained my symptoms to my mother and my teenage daughter and asked if they’d like to take a chance on them considering I had two bottles. They both agreed to try them. Two days in, both of them had thrown in the towel. They were both suffering from indigestion, stinky burps and sour stomachs. Something is seriously wrong with these vitamins. Fortunately I haven’t opened the second bottle, so I will be returning that one. I’m not sure if these are spoiled but they are in date. I can’t believe that Smarty Pants made this terrible product.

Has curbed my PMS symptoms
This review will probably be updated in a couple of monthes BUT... I've been taking these for about 3 weeks now and I just realized my pms symptoms have completly disappeared. I was getting really bad premenstrual cramps like clock work a week before my period. And so far I have no cramping, backaches or bloat. Which I'm really happy about. The capsules are very easy to take. And have a minty smell from the bottle but I haven't notice a minty taste. All in all I will be purchasing 2 more bottle as they say you don't really rep the benefits of daily vitamins until about 3 monthes in. So we shall see.

Beware of Toxicity!!!!
Beware of Vitamin D toxicity from these pills. There is an unnecessarily high amount of Vitamin D. I began having severe joint and muscle pain. Weakness in my entire body! Recommended MCG is 10-20 NOT 50! Stay away!!!!!

Phenomenal multivitamin with a refreshing finish.
To cut straight to the point: I swear by these. One capsule outpaces the literal handful of individual vitamins and minerals my doctors have me on. My levels have either improved or remained stable, my quality of life has increased, and I'm just generally doing well on these. As I suffer from frequent malnutrition & deficiencies due to dysautonomia, I don't say any of that lightly.Considering its pedigree, it makes sense: third party testing, methylated vitamins, MTHFR gene mutation-friendly, appropriate dosage, and capsuled with oil to improve absorption of fat soluble vitamins... it ticks every box I had, and for an incredibly fair price. You'll be hard pressed to find a better multivitamin. Especially if you have illness-related malabsorption or deficiencies, these are worth serious consideration. Can't promise it will be the right fit, but it's more than worth a try.For those hesitant because of negative reviews, read on.Three bottles in, and I've had zero experiences with fishiness. This is noteworthy, as I have a strong averaion to fish, and I am not aware of any recent reformulation.I believe the negative reviews regarding seaworthiness is due to these capsules being entirely vegetarian – and that includes the omega 3 oil. It's made from algal oil.For those who aren't accustomed to oceanic foods and vegetarian seafood substitutions, it's important to note that sea vegetables are intensely briney with a strong minerality. In fact, part of why large body fish have that "fishier" taste. Sea/ocean-specific algaes, seaweeds, and kelps have a large presence within their food chains. Just like with land animals, that difference in food source imparts distinctive flavor compounds into them.Additionally, the mint scent packet within the bottles is impressively fresh. I've spent a lot of time handwashing fresh spearmint by the pound, and I was convinced they must have added some spearmint oil to the pills themselves. It's pretty intensely verdant-smelling with that distinct clean, mildly sweet grassy flavor. Why do I mention all of this? Because I eat a fair amount of seaweed. Homemade dashi, furikake seasonings, kelp salt, flavored nori, vegetarian "seafood"... you get the picture. I can notice it in a heartbeat. These vitamins? Yeah, there's a distinctive seaweed note to them. Not fish – seaweed. And I think that differentiation is important here.First: while it's far from overpowering on its own, sea vegetables aren't terribly common food unless you live coastally. If you're not used to a food, your brain will reach for the nearest comparison. In this case, that will be fish.Second: the algal oil smell and taste blends in phenomenally with the added mint. I believe the mint just synergizes a little TOO well for some people. Because of how fresh it tastes, it ends up accentuating the more vegetal flavors of the algal oil... which is where you'll get more of that briney, savory minerality that people associate with fish. As these pills also give you oil burps (as any omega capsules will), it just hit you really suddenly. Personally, I find it (ironically) earthy and mildly fresh. With all of that said, yes, this will be insurmountable for some. However, keeping it in mind could make adjustment far easier for some, and simply elevate it to tolerable for others. Unlike fish oil pills, I've also not found the oceanic notes to worsen with time or diet. The burping is similarly very mild.Overall, I really recommend giving these a shot, even if the reviews of "fishiness" worry you. If my novel long essay appraising these doesn't express how serious I am about them, I don't know what could.
