ZTE Max XL 16GB - Prepaid - Carrier Locked (Virgin Mobile)

I could rant and rave about this phone all day, but I'll keep it short and sweet. I feel like I hit the jackpot with this phone, finding something this good and fast for so cheap. I've been a Virgin Mobile customer for years and years, so I was happy when this phone was offered as an option. I was definitely on the fence about the 6 inch screen, but as soon as I got it and started using it, that thought vanished from my mind. Screen looks amazing and is super responsive, phone itself has a good processor and doesn't lag unless I'm doing VR, and even then it handles it like a champ. Fingerprint reader is a great addition, something I never would have known I wanted if I didn't try it. Overall, I would get this phone again if mine broke.

It started out great, a bit on the large side, but with my vision, thats good. Has great storage and able to expand if needed. System apps have eaten a lot of the internal storage. 2 weeks ago the screen started to freeze and go all purple/yellow and the keyboard would freeze. It has gotten worse almost to the point of unusable frustration. I have done everything short of a factory restore, which wont fix the screen issue but perhaps the keyboard. Up until this problem started this phone has been wonderful!

Great phone! Excellent price. It's quick, amazing battery life and great screen size.Highly recommend.

Up front, I haven't activated the phone. The operating features may or not be cool. Sadly, they are eclipsed by an unanticipated wrinkle in the physical design. Definitely not cool. The charging port is not standard. It is not the typical micro USB connector that I've had on my last bunch of Android phones and tablets. The connector I use with all my other related items. For charging, for sharing data. I'm not going to try and replace umpteen cables for one phone. I don't care what else it does, it's just not worth it. I've looked at ZTE a few times, and thought I'd give it a try. That won't happen again!

This phone does have issues of over heating, freezing and screen going black every 5 seconds. Factory reset the phone four times. This phone is good besides that. I am probably going to get rid of it if they don't fix the screen going black every 5 seconds soon. I don't know what else I can do to fix it. Makes the phone unusable.

I love this cell phone it has great picture quality, the size is awesome, I'm able to watch videos and read online manga series perfectly. I relay on my phone for work and communication for my work since I work in remote locations, this does the job. I got 2 more phones for my brother and dad for gifts since they saw it and hinted they liked it.
