Just as good as my old hearing aids
I bought a cheaper model a few years ago and it was good, but these are awesome! When I first put them in my ear I didn't know what to expect, but after adjusting the mode and the volume I can hear so much better. My previous insurance covered hearing aids but now I don't have that coverage, but these are just as good if not a little better than what I had before. One of my favorite feature is that these are so small and the tube is so thin that when I look in the mirror it is barely noticeable. If you have trouble hearing, I would definitely recommend trying these out for yourself.

Very good all around
At 77 my hearing loss is mostly in the higher pitch range. Most hearing amplifiers amplify everything, which is truly awful in an automobile, restaurant, etc. These have a button that allows you to select the range to be amplified, which is essential if your hearing loss is the normal decline in the higher range that comes with age. These work great for me. I have a couple of sets so I will have some in the car as well as the living room. I don’t wear them all the time. I could, and when I do they are just fine. But why bother when you are alone or using earphones.I find that I can adjust the volume easily which is handy in rooms with different sound levels. They pop in and out in seconds, the batteries last for days, and are cheap, and the whole thing is unnoticeable in the ear. They are comfortable, and I am not aware of them after a few minutes…..and that includes accidentally getting in the shower with them on. I can use the phone with them.It is good that they are removable and replaceable easily because in a restaurant if a 3 year old is in the booth behind you and having a high pitched screaming fit, you won’t want it amplified, I promise. They have solved my problems for a tiny fraction of the cost of hearing aids, and frankly I suspect they are just as good…..at least for me. The difference being that professionals will fit you like tailors used to fit you for a suit. If one off the rack fits as well, why not buy it?I have one caution. These hang behind the ear, attached to the tube and plug that goes in the ear. If the tube loosens from the device, the amplifier may fall off and be lost without you knowing it. Once you have them comfortable fitted to your ear, take a spot of super glue and permanently affix the tube…..just a caution, but I lost one.I own three sets….car, living room, spare. Together they cost less than half the cheapest hearing aid provided by a professional. And BTW, I have seen these or nearly identical aids pitched in magazines as a big break through for $350 each ear!!! Not a breakthrough, just a hearing device that allows you to adjust frequency (pitch) as well as volume, uses cheap batteries that are easily replaced and last for days, are unnoticeable when put in, are comfortable, and work.I would recommend them to a friend, and buy them again, and I have.

Definitely Recommend
At 53 my hearing loss is not complete. However, I often feel as if I’m listening to the world around me from the bottom of a swimming pool. I have begun to turn the tv up almost as high as it can go. This of course annoys the Hubster. So, I bought these amplifiers with the express purpose of using them when I watch my shows in the evening. They work pretty good for me. I can adjust the volume up or down—which I’m super glad about. The first time I used them I almost blew my own brains out of the top of my head with my own voice! However, I quickly realized that the volume can go up OR down. They’ll take some getting used to. They’re comfortable…but, foreign in my ear.I must say, I am also pleased with the price. I once checked into getting hearing aids from a doctor and they were twice the price. These are affordable and seem to be just as good.I would definitely recommend these.

I bought the hearing aids for my elderly mother who has had significant hearing loss, she was very resistant to any hearing aids. Now that she has tried it, she really likes it, their compact size, and now she can hear well

GIVE YOURSELF TIME TO ADJUST
I bought these hearing amplifiers for my husband who has a slight hearing loss. He has found them to be comfortable and helpful. His only complaint is that it is difficult to adjust the volume. There is a tiny dial on the back that some people may be able to move with a fingernail, but he has not been able to do that. So he has to remove the amplifier and move it with a small screwdriver tip, put it back in and try it out, and adjust accordingly. A little inconvenient, but doable. On the plus side, he does hear better with them, and they seem to be of pretty good quality, especially for the price.

Good for listening, not for conversation
These work by amplifying all sound, not just specific frequencies. They work well in environments when you just need to listen, like watching the TV. Unfortunately when my father used them during conversation, every time he spoke it amplified the sound in his head. He wasn't able to wear them in groups after that.

Not what we hoped for...
These didn't work for my husband - there was constant background noise on top of the tinnitus he already deals with. Also, the batteries are very tiny; not a standard hearing aid size. The whole set is very small and fiddly. We were able to get our money back although the pre-paid return label was to their old address and the forwarding order had expired! When they eventually came back, we contacted the seller through Amazon and they made everything right in the end.
