Accessories are not worth the addition.
The device is fine and works as it should. The case and accessories are not worth it. The case is not specific to the device. The screen protector is round, too small and just not the right item at all. The wrist strap is grey not black and looks out of place.

Amazon policy over $300 dollars has a 14-30 day wait period for return refunds.
I did not like this item nor did I like the cost of membership with garmin to use it. So I returned the InReach to Amazon. It has been in route for 12 days and has not arrived at the return center yet. So I called Amazon to be told that any Apple or Electronic product returned over $300 will not be refunded for 14-30 days. it is a new internal policy... so don't order anything over $300 unless you are sure you are keeping it.

Buyer beware. Garmin will not warranty when their firmware causes issue
I tried to turn my Inreach on for my second season of heading out into the back country. It would not turn on. I called my two friends who use the same devices and they have the same problem. I went through Garmin's troubleshooting tips without success. I contacted Garmin who informed me my firmware was out of date (because I hadn't used it for a while). They told me this is a known issue with this older firmware. They stated the device could not be fixed. They refused to cover the replacement because it was no longer under warranty and offered me a replacement for an additional $120. I tried to argue that garmin's software caused the issue so it should be replaced to no avail.Be aware that this is 3 out of 3 devices with the same issue. You may want to consider an alternative now Garmin isn't the only player in the game.
