I have a 2019 Ford F250 and getting trailer safety chains hooked up can be a easy or a pain depending on getting the hooks in just the right position. I bought these to help simplify that issue. I put the hooks on by myself. I did add some extra bevel to the pins with a bench grinder to make them a little easier to install. I am 59 and have arthritic hands and can save it was a struggle but I was able to do it without tossing my hammer across the yard. I have since used the shackles to pull my travel trailer more than 600 miles and had no issues with anything coming apart. Thankfully I have not had to see how they would function if I did have a coupler failure but I am confident they would do the job.

Though the pins were a little difficult to drive in just adding a little more taper and they went right in. No more hassles getting the hooks around the pin

Great pair of chain connectors.Solid and made well with black powder coat for the finish.The hammerLock sleeves are the most important because without them, the double ended pins would slide out during any vibration.Grade 80 and a max of 12,000 pounds towing.Really happy I got them and now when im using my chains to tow, it goes so much easier and without worry.Solid madeI recommend

Don't have any immediate need for these but I wanted to have them in my arsenal. I live out in the sticks & if you wait until you need something, it's already too late. I haven't towed a vehicle in years but mostly drag logs several times a year along with a few other things. Looking forward to use and no doubt these will fit the bill when needed. The paint was flaking off some during handling but I don't care.
