NRSV Updated Edition Bible with Apocrypha (Flexisoft, Black)

I wanted to try out the newly released NRSV Updated edition but didn't want to break the bank. Luckily, I found this affordable Bible that served the purpose perfectly! It's got a sturdy cover, crisp pages and comfortable binding, so I can read it anywhere with ease. In terms of the translation, it seems very similar to the previous NRSV: contains descriptive and straightforward language that is nonetheless very vivid. Also unbiased in terms of holding any one theological position. Overall, this Bible is a great choice if you're looking for a budget-friendly Bible that still packs a punch in terms of translation quality. I highly recommend it!

The NRSVue is a good translation, and whilst some commentators have issues with some of its newer choices, no current translation is perfect: if you are looking for a bible for spiritual or devotional reading, most of the mainline bibles are all equally good for this purpose and you should get the one that you will read and not put down!Were it not for the small print, I would raise this to a 5 star review. The book is bound well, it is sturdy, and it looks nice but the print was smaller than I had expected. It is readable: just on the small side.

good quality just what I expected and am very happy with it

For the price, this is a solid bible (it's difficult to find nice NRSVue bibles in this price range with the Apocrypha with a faux-leather cover). Two things to note, though. First, it does NOT easily lay flat (unless you're reading the middle of the bible). Second, the font size is quite small so I'm not sure I'd recommend it for people who struggle with small print. That said, I'd still recommend it for the price.

Someday we won't all have to learn Koine Greek anymore.

This is a nice Bible. However a small chunk of pages were damaged. They look like they were sliced with the cut parts hanging off each page.
