FPV Action Camera
*I am writing this review only for FPV applicationI gauge the performance of individual action cameras by durability (impact resistance | IP certification), video quality (resolution | frame rate | image stabilization), form factor and weight, battery life (the ability to record for at least 30 minutes in one charge at the highest resolution and frame rates), service life/serviceability (active heat management, firmware updates and availability of replacement parts and/or upgrade parts)Looking at the recorded flight footage, it seems like there is a decent image sensor on board. Judging from other budget action cameras that I have owned in the past, it is quite possible that this device does actually record at 1080p (at least 960p) resolution *at around 48 - 50hz. There is no pixelization at the edges of frames and details are true. However, the processor does not handle vibrations well; most action cameras will drop the frame rate to compensate for EIS so unless the camera is equipped with a powerful image sensor and processor, I often do not use it. The form factor is indeed very nice as it is very similar to a GoPro session. 4K resolution is rendered useless if it is an upscaled 1080 - without the high refresh rate (60 fps) - I almost always ignore this function on budget action cameras. In low light, it performs poorly due to the lack of access to recording preferences/setup.On my last flight, I intentionally performed a hard landing so that my copter would tumble (it is approximately 330mm motor to motor true X frame, with 6 inch tri-blade propellers), to my surprise, it survived and was still rolling! I wouldn't recommend attempting that for yourself, it could quite well have been sheer luck that mine lived (and it was an open field where no one could get hurt....except for my bird.)In closing: I think this is a fine starter camera, or an alternate device to use for the GoPro (when it is back at GoPro for repairs if one could afford the insurance). At the 49.00 price point (with the promotional coupon at the time of my purchase brought the cost down by 21.00 USD), lacking certain qualities is forgivable as you would have at least four of these cameras on your backpack compared to one GoPro....yes, we do crash.....a lot. I have four premium cameras and three budget ones. The Acumen camera will do nicely if I accidentally jettison my Xiaomi Yi 4K or Polaroid Cube+ (I refuse to buy GoPro products as I feel that the selling price of should include accidental and not-so-accidental torture from our hobby and/or general use)

Good camera for those looking for a nice low cost/small action cam
I was looking for a camera that was a good stand in for my GoPro hero 3+ black for filming on model train layouts and this is a good stand-in. The cases for the camera are a nice addition and overall it is well made. In side by side comparisons it is very difficult to tell the image quality between both cameras. Only drawbacks are it defaults to "looping video" every time you turn it on and it has a very fast turn-off time if you do not start a video going. While this is great for making sure you do not drain the battery by leaving the camera on, it can be a tad annoying. The built in microphone is decent, although for my applications it is not necessary.Overall for a $66 camera I was impressed with the quality of it, although the fast turn off due to inactivity and default to the looping video is a little frustrating but not a huge deal. The OLED display is tiny but displays more than enough information to show what mode you are in.

I recommend to shoot under 2
Under the same price level, I couldn’t find any products on Amazon with 4K or 1080P image quality that can reach 60 FPS, so I bought A05 as my first sports camera. The design of the camera is at a satisfying quality, at least it goes well with my personal taste. It is very hard to believe that such a small camera can film videos with 4K image quality, although 24 FPS is just acceptable. I recommend to shoot under 2.4K, 30fps mode, you might have to adjust a little on the image quality, but at least the video runs smoothly and is at perfect resolution. There are pictures in the A05 user handbook, which helps me a lot to get familiar with the product. For its APP, the UI of the APP is not as delicate as I expected and it is a bit complicated to use, but as the matter of its function, it is good enough. I have tested the waterproof level of the case, the result turned out to be very satisfying as well, it doesn’t leak at all! Super safe! In general, I had a great time with this product and I give it 4.5 stars for A05. It is what I expected it to be like, and I like it.

It is light and small and makes it nice for sports
So I got the camara in order to do pov stuff cause i didn't want a big camera on my head. It is light and small and makes it nice for sports. started messing around with it trying to get a custom settings.First: camara will not let you pick setting before sd card is put in.Second: the video settings are alittle strange. It has the basic video setting 2k, 1080, 720... with fps at 30, 60, 120. But the one setting I normally rec in (1080 at 60fps) is only available in loop rec. 👎 but on a good note, video quality is decent for a $70 camara. Colors are true and the video is not to sharp. I would like it push more on the soft side but it is a good medium for this camara.Third: if this camara has image stabilization it's not that good. But a this price point I guess I may have accepted to much. 😊 I do need to put more time on it to check battery life and to even get More familiar with the product.Definitely don't expect it to keep up with your gopro session 5 but will work for this price point.

Works pretty well
Works well as a cheap gopro session. Doesn't really have a stabilization feature. Mainly use it strapped on my quadcopters.

decent camera
I use this to film my shooting matches. It doesn't always turn on when you push the button and sometimes shuts off in the middle of a run. It is not bad for the price but not GOPRO quality either.

nice quality. I received it about a month ago ...
First of all, nice quality. I received it about a month ago and have been using it on a regular daily base since then and it has been working quite well. To be honest, there is nothing too fancy about this product, but it has all the features I need, so this product is just right for me. Just for my using purpose, I personally think that this product is worth the price.
