So I fully recognize this is a nonstandard use for this product. But for a variety of reasons, I've found an artificial substrate (flooring) for my gecko is the best solution. Often things are used are paper towels or blank paper. Here's where the banana leaves come in. They are attractive (important for the gecko, not just the humans) and are easy to clean in very hot water. I suspect you could use soap on them, but since this is for a reptile, I just use hot water and maybe vinegar. They're also very easy to spot clean (pick up the occasional fruit or poops and spray). Also, the rouer side can sit on the glass terrarium floor, while the slicker side is facing up. That means nothing gets stuck in crevices. Again, I do realize this is a very nonstandard use for these leaves. But if it's safe enough for a human to eat off off, it's certainly safe for a little lizard to walk and play on.

This is a really nice product and can be reused. These need to be hand washed as it may get spoilt if you put it in a dishwasher

This was a great purchase. They are built well and are not flimsy. They look really good too, people thought it was real. Easy to wipe down and clean. Can be reused too.
