32Ft(10M) Door Edge Guards Car Door Edge Guards U Shape Car Door Protector Rubber Seal Door Guard Internal Double Sided Tape (No Glue Required), Black

This is my third order of this product, and all three have been slightly different. The finish on this roll is fairly dull (totally acceptable for my use though), while the stuff I purchased last year was more shiny. This roll conforms to corners better than the last roll I bought. My one concern: in the past, the adhesive strip carried the 3M logo, and it stuck very well. This roll? I don't think they're using 3M anymore and I've already had an issue with its inability to stick to a surface. The manufacturer recommends using the adhesive on the inside of the door but that's not possible in my application. We'll see how it works out. Overall, a good product, and I'll edit this review if the adhesive fails.

UPDATE: This trim lasted nearly 5 years before the adhesive started breaking down and the trim began peeling off. Not bad in my opinion.Original Review: I just got this and installed it today. I was nervous ordering because there wasn't enough info about it in my opinion but went ahead because of the price and amount of footage.This product is a soft pliable rubber with a semi-flat finish. It is narrow which means it has a very low impact on the look of your car. The black flat finish and small profile makes it blend in with the natural black shadows and spaces between your doors and the body of your car which means it shouldn't stand out with any color of car.It's very pliable and will go around a 90 degree angle easily without bunching.It has a spongy feel which makes me think it will add enough protection to keep your paint from chipping if swing your door into those concrete bases at the bottom of gas pumps when pulling up close.Installation was fairly easy but you shouldn't rush it. The "stickum" (not permanent glue) rubber adhesive grabs quick which prevents it from going all the way on unless you continually push it in with the palm of your hand. Make sure the lines are straight as opposed to wavy. Easy enough. Run the trim along your door line and cut off before applying and give yourself a few extra inches to play with and trim off excess when done.I can't speak for longevity or how it will hold up in an automated car wash but feel confident it will die the adhesive.Pictures attached are 1) No trim. 2) With 3) Standing back with trim on.I withheld a star because I have to see how it holds up.

1 year update : had to change my review as they barely lasted a full year of use. The glue essentially wears off and they don’t really stay in place very well. It’s just not thick enough. Quite disappointed , I will likely go with something that’s thicker and with better adherence.~~~Received the product on time and as advertised. I put this on the doors of a Black 2018 VW Atlas and it looks great. The installation was straightforward as recommended on the amazon page. Definitely helps to let the piping get a little loose and pliable in the sun as they suggest during installation; mine was and then stiffened as the sun went down and it got cooler. It looks great on the car (as my wife said, "It looks like it came with the car") and so far has stayed on with moderate usage of the vehicle (been about a week). I will update my review later on if possible to see how it stands the test of time (and two kids!). Its already saved scratches on my door edges (car ends up being parked next to a chain link fence quite often). Also I had so much piping left over after installation on all four doors of my SUV (which are pretty large!) that I was able to put it on my second car too (Honda CR-V). Two for one!

The rubber is flimsy, and does not form to tight bends. Adhesive is weak. Consequently, it constantly pops off and need adjusting by the tight spots. Otherwise, it holds everywhere else.

Purchased this to protect the cut edge of a lexan windshield. It was a great price and easy to use. Seems to be holding up well in warm and cold temperatures so far.

Very flexible, ease of use

Received this item very quick.Easy to install? Well, that depends on you and your vehicle. By the time I got to the 4th door, I had it figured out.What I ended up doing is starting at the top of the door and working my way down to the bottom. Place this with about 8 or 10 inches started (so you know you are on the right track or not). Return to the top and start removing the red tape cover. Slowly work your way down the eight or ten inches firmly pressing on both sides of the door edge. With that red tape cover clearly outside the edge guard, continue working your way SLOWLY down the door edge being sure to apply firm pressure with one hand as you peel the tape with the other. Once down to the bottom, cut the guard roll when finished. Now, go up and down the guard once more while firmly pressing from both sides of the edge.If you start out the way I described above (top to bottom), it will go much faster for you. I guess I had spent close to 45 minutes since I had cut one door too short (first attempt) and had to replace it. The good news is that ended up being my last door and done in about 10 minutes.The result is a good looking edge (black in color) that conforms to the shape of the door.

Met all expatiations and was very easy to install.I bought this product for my Mini cooper Clubman and was able to do all doors with extra left over.I defiantly would but again to do my other vehicles..
