Yantra Bliss Oracle Deck Hardcover – January 20, 2017

I truly am hovering between 3 and four stars, simply because the quality is not reflective of the high cost. When I opened this box, the first thing I thought was that this card stock was a bit rough on the edges and the deck was hard to get out of the box. The corners are cut square. Perhaps it's an esthetic choice for squared corners to complement the yantra designs, but rounded corners feel so much nicer and aren't as tight fitting in a box. Also when I removed the cards, there was some paper shavings in the bottom of the box — I don't know what to call it exactly but it was like fine shreds from the edges on trimming the cards. The cards aren't laminated and the quality is quite average, bordering on cheap. The box is very basic and in my opinion, a bit too snug. You have to shake the cards out or slide a fingernail between the box and the last cards to get them all out, rather than easily falling out when turned over.I really hate saying all that though because I do feel that there is a lot of love and wisdom in the designs and words. The whole deck is very thoughtfully composed with three types of cards: 1) goddess and planetary yantras; 2) sacred geometry shapes; and 3) keywords for practical guidance. There is also a simple trifold card with instructions on how to use the deck, and author/artist/designer credits. There is no accompanying book to explain the deeper meaning of each yantra, or goddess or planet the author associates it with.The cards are also fairly large for my small hands. I find them hard to shuffle. In all, the feel and practicality of them (size, quality, fit inside box) conflicts with the peaceful nature intended for these cards. Most other decks I wouldn't be so critical of, but it seems a bit ironic when the whole theme of this deck is sacred geometry and yantras: shapes and designs that are supposed to enlighten.In this case, form should be everything, both in content and presentation. Opening the box and shuffling the cards is a bad start for me and is a disruption of the potential meditative energy. If you can get past that, you'll enjoy the wisdom that these cards offer. I might round the corners of these cards and see if can enjoy using them more and connect with these better. Perhaps I'll also dispose of the box and wrap these in cloth instead.

I bought these cards some time ago, and use them often to help me negotiate challenges in my life. I find that they connect me to a part of myself that is able to be clear, even when life is a little chaotic.I was fortunate enough to go on a 9 Planet Temple pilgrimage to South India with Sarah at the beginning of 2019. We visited some amazing places and learned to draw and colour the Planetary yantras under Sarah's guidance. Since returning home I find that when I use the cards, they link me back to Sarah, the pilgrimage and the energy of the temples we visited.

The Yantra Bliss Oracle Deck is not only gorgeous but it’s really helping me calm down. With the chaos the world making me more unsettled than usual, this is a great tool thats helping slow me down, and bringing me back to the present moment. I ordered one for myself and one as a gift. Yantras are sacred geometric designs used for meditation, contemplation and guidance. These cards are a way to access universal power to help guide and inform your life. I have tried using the deck in the morning, randomly choosing a card, and it seems to be perfect for what I need right then. I’ve been carrying the card with me during the day to pull out and meditate on for a few breaths if I need to during the day. This is a great tool!

I use this deck daily and find myself both utilizing it professionally and recommending it liberally.Where Tantra can otherwise be too esoteric and subtle for the daily practitioner to experience and easily understand its relevance, this deck makes the traditional tools accessible, fun, easy, and delightful.The images are beautiful, nourishing, and inspiring. The concise teachings are relevant, digestible, and immediately applicable.As a teaching tool, they've supported my ability to clarify and demystify Tantra as well as engage and connect with my students in meaningful, easy, and fun ways. I tell everyone: You want these in your life!
