The valve assembly it self is a good unit and works well. However, I wouldn't recommend doing the installation yourself if you don't have a fair amount of plumbing experience. The directions are worse than useless; they're confusing.

For what it is is perfect. Wish the hose was about 4 inches longer or I actually measured but meh.

This was such a small package and the cost was $11.05. It was not even in a manufacter’s bag. It looks like someone took a large package, divided it up, and sent it out. I have a small firebox and the coverage is VERY scant. Will not purchase again.

I got this installed myself, with just a few tools. I needed this since I don't have any other valve to adjust the flames by. This product took care of that.

The directions for this product were woefully inadequate. I have LP gas and need to install an orifice. The two orifices that came with the kit are 3/8" long and have a hex shoulder. The Orifice holder in you place the orifice into has a hole in it about 3/4" deep. Thus the entire orifice drops down into the holder so that you cant hold onto the orifice and turn it into the threads. It does not tell you which way to install the orifice even if you could hold onto in and turn it. Perhaps I'll chew some bubble gum and stick it to a pencil and try to turn the orifice holding onto to it with bubble gum.

Granularity of flame adjustment was my only issue when retrofitting this to an old manual. There is little difference in L to H. Seems well made.

Horrible...I've had a certified tech install and has been back twice and it still doesn't work. It keeps on going out and won't relight.
