Rail Easy Adjustable Mount 2pk

These are sold in pairs and worked out pretty good. I mounted these for the stair railing between my posts. I gave this 4 stars because when this is mounted on the post at the top of the stairs the Allen head set screw that holds the railing in place is under the mount and not noticeable. However, the mount on the post at the bottom of the stairs the Allen head set screw sticks out the top. There's no way to arrange it so that the set screw is under the mount when angling this upward. The slot that the moveable piece rotates on will only allow about 45 degrees of movement in one direction not both directions. So the mount can only be screwed to the post with the set screw facing up and the set screw sticks out quite a bit when tightened down. I'm going to shorten the set screw with a cutting wheel so when I tighten it down it will be flush, but can still be seen. This could be fixed by putting a top mount and bottom mount in the box or cutting the slot more to allow rotation in both directions.

These look good and work well. The only issue is access to the screws for mounting is blocked by the railing. They should have clocked the fastener pattern to allow easy access to the mounting screws.
