This variety is not Ceylon Cinnamon
I purchased these cinnamon sticks for making cinnamon tea. However I could not find which type of cinnamon it’s was at the time of purchase, Ceylon or Cassia cinnamon. I cannot have Cassia cinnamon due to liver issues and the high concentration of coumarin that causes damage to your liver. I found that the Cinnamon sticks are Korintje cinnamon (Indonesian Cassia) and is high in coumarin. Simply Organic brand is tested as one of the better companies to buy spices from, they are lower in lead content than most others. Unfortunately I cannot return it.
