The tree itself is fine and illuminates, but there is no memory storage in the multi-function selector, so every time I turn the tree on it begins cycling through its demo mode. Since I'm using this on a second story ledge as a decoration, I can't use this with a timer in its current form. I plan on bypassing the selector and rewiring it, but even cheap $5 Christmas lights have memory function on the selector switch, and it should have been incorporated into this as well.

I purchased this lamp as an alternative for a standard reading lamp. It's not that. Rather, it's a fun decorative lamp. (That was made clear in the packaging: it was called a Christmas tree). I like the fact that the branches are bendable. I like the array of light effects: various combinations of steady, blinking, flashing, or changing. I don't much like having to go through all the options each time I turn it on.

I actually love this tree but after not even a week of having it, several of the branches of lights went out. I contacted the company several months ago to see if there was anything that could be done to fix it and still haven’t heard anything back. I ended up having to mive it behind a couch and turn the dead side to the wall.

I know its cheap, but its tapped together! Literally made of black tape. Very cheap looking and feeling. Also not very bright.
