GOLBERG 750lb Paracord/Parachute Cord – Authentic Mil-Spec Type IV 750 lb Tensile Strength Strong Paracord – Mil-C-5040-H – 100% Nylon – Made in USA

The 750 cord I ordered had the proper number of strands and the correct look. It was working great to tie items down in the bed of my truck, but I never had to put it to the test until a couple weeks ago. I cut a fresh piece from the spool (which was stored inside). I used that piece to hold up one end of my hammock. As soon as I started to sit down in the hammock, the paracord broke. I’m a 220 lb guy so that paracord should have easily held my weight. I’m not sure whether I got a bad spool or if the seller is selling cheap knockoffs, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend counting on this paracord to hold much weight.

The paracord feels strong and like it will be good for multiple uses. The only issue I had is that I ordered the 200ft on a tube and about 3/4 of the way thru the cord was cut already. So really I recieved about a 125ft piece and a 75ft piece of paracord instead of the 200ft I had ordered. If the tube had arrived uncut and all in one piece I would have given it 5 starts easily.

I was suspect if this was actually different from other 550 paracord. Very happy with purchase. Standard cord is 7 strands, this is 11 strands. Strands are also thicker but not wrapped together. See picture comparison. Standard cord on left, this cord on right.

This was not like most of the "made in china" para-cord that has a hollow interior and is made and feels cheap. This is well constructed and good quality. Worked great for my main use. Made a brite on the swivel of a dog clasp and sewed and wrapped to make the end connection and finished it off with some heat shrink tubing (applied light heat only) and did the same for the handle and now we have a light weight strong and affordable lead for my Yorkie.Now Truckie can go on walks in style and and avoid the puppy police.

I used this cord to mount (wove the cord through stainless steel screw eyes and sail grommets) a rectangular sun sail over my deck. Previously, I ordered another brand "paracord" without checking the strength specs. It was inferior - couldn't use it. As I searched for another cord to mount the sail, I came across this and read the specs. It also came in different colors, so I was able to perfectly match the sun sail's color. As for strength and endurance, the sail has been mounted in hot sun for months and has survived storms with winds as high as 60 mph with heavy gusts. I have seen no fraying or failures from rubbing in the screw eyes as the winds have blown. This is excellent, strong cord!

First, I want to say that customer service is outstanding. If an issue, they stand by their product. The type IV paracord is the way to go. This cord is used to support my HF antenna. My center mass is about 35 feet off the ground, and requires support line which is strong and can withstand the elements. Thank you Golberg for manufacturing the best paracord I have ever used thus far. In addition, after using the paracord for other applications, I have decided to always stick with Golberg product. Clean, organized high quality paracord. I have nicked named my paracord from Golberg...Paracable! Its that strong!

I was skeptical at first due to some of the 1 star ratings and reviews about this product but I decided to try it for myself, upon receiving the product it came in a neat printed zip lock bag and came with a very nice and sturdy velcro strap. It was all one solid piece no cuts splices or anything of that sort and that could just be because I got the 50 ft, perhaps if I ordered 200 and above I might see some of the cuts that many other reviews spoke about. The product is very strong and would be a great addition to any nug out bag or to use for family hiking and to even just have have around the house. Definitely worth the money, I will be getting a bigger spool soon.

I bought this paracord to tie to the end of a halyard on my boat. The idea was that I would pull the halyard out with the paracord tied to the end so I could pull a new halyard in. I watched in horror as the cut end of the paracord went up and into the mast. An easy job has now turned into an all day project from the top of a 65' mast.
