Tales from the Crypt on the carny circuit
I'd been eyeing this book for some time because I'm such a big fan of the author's other works - Forgotten Horrors, Comics From the Gone World, etc. I was not familiar with the source material - Irwin S. Cobb's short story "Fishhead" - but it isn't necessary to enjoying Michael H. Price, Lawrence Adam Shell, and Mark Evan Walker's fish tale. Not only do you get the story of Fishhead, but Price et al. take the reader onto the carny circuit for more entertaining yarns. On top of all this, we get intros by Guillermo Del Toro and Joe R. Lansdale - two fellows who know their way around a spooky story. If you you like ironic justice dealt out by Tales From the Crypt, then you will certainly enjoy this book.
