Solar cooking is really neat!
I am absolutely thrilled with this oven. I opened the box and the set-up was quick and easy. I skipped the vinegar step and put it out in the sun. It's July in Florida so it does get hot, but WOW it got to 200F in 10 minutes and by the time I could get into the house to put some potatoes in the included black pot, and trim some brussel sprouts for the other stacking pot, the temperature reached 325F. It stayed there and cooked the food thoroughly. The potatoes were the best "baked" potatoes ever. The brussel sprouts in the picture may have actually been in too long. They were still delicious. My adult kids were amazed that I cooked it all with the sun. Today I am "hard-boiling" eggs. I was going to try bread, but there are quite a few clouds and the temperature is not staying quite as uniform. Unless we have a permanent solar eclipse, I will be using this oven every day that I can. If you are camping, off-grid, preparing for SHTF or just want to keep your kitchen cooler and save on electricity, this is the ticket. PS. Also a ton of scientific fun to play around with. Baked potatoes, in 2 hours....IN THE SUN. Super cool.

Tracker set up that works for me.
Works as long as you got sun. No directions for tracker, but got it figured out. The white cylinder on the tracker needa to be adjusted to make it track. I have mine where the 2 eyes are pointing like at 10 and 2. I have it clamped on the right front corner of oven as you are looking at the fro t. Screws on glass door looks line they are rusting.

One Star
I have had a Sun Oven for more than 18 years and an All American Sun Oven for 3 years and use them both often. I love my Sun Ovens and like the idea that by purchased them it helped in the work Sun Ovens International does around the world. The listing lead me to believe that this was the same as my Sun Oven but had a tracker, so I thought I would buy it and give one of my Sun Ovens to a friend.I put it out twice with my Sun Oven next to it and both time the Sun Oven got 40 degrees hotter. I should not be surprised that I paid a little bit less for a knock off and got a lot less value than the American made real deal. The listing is very misleading. The tracker only moves the oven one direction and does not raise or lower it so it does not serve much of a purpose. If I must go out and raise it to vertically keep it aligned with the sun I may as well turn it at the same time.Even though the box was intact when it arrived the corner of the wood frame was broken, one of the glass latches was screwed in at an angle and the base of the tracker was completely bent. The reflectors were dented and when I removed the plastic film they were badly scratched. The plastic box and cubes on the glass door are made of a different type of plastic. It is very obvious that this is a cheap knock off of the All American Sun Oven and I doubt it will last anywhere near the 18 years my first Sun Oven has.On Amazon it says that it comes with a “Set, 2 Easy Stack Pots with Lids” but the pots do not stack like the ones that came with my Sun Oven and the glass lid has a hole so steam escapes making it useless. The parament paper shown in the photo was a name brand swiss made high-quality paper (the same brand as the Sun Oven) but what arrived was a very thin cheap paper that fell apart after one use. There is very little in the way of written instructions so you will be on your own in learning how to use it. I could not find any information on how to contact this company or where it was made. Judging from the other products they have listed on Amazon I am guessing they are based in China and specialize in quick-buck knockoffs.I live in Illinois not far where the Sun Ovens are made and I made an appointment to go to Sun Ovens and show to them. I want to make sure that it will be safe to use. My concern is that the coatings and insulation used are safe and not be like the lead paint used in toys made in China. I will update this review if I learn anything new.

This oven is easy to use
This oven is easy to use, and putting it together using the solar tracker is easy! The last oven I had, I built myself, and it performed a little better, primarily because my collectors were larger. What my oven made up in larger collectors, this one makes up in solar trackers! This oven dry hit 310 degrees, in September, but I would expect higher temps in June/July. I will update this review as I use it more, but so far, so good! I can recommend this Solar Oven!
