Doesn’t hold up
Product works well in the beginning but quickly fails after a month, or maybe I should say it works too well. After a month, it doesn’t unlock easily. Once unlocked with the key the cap will not loosen and detach from the tank. It is permanently locked to my tank and had to look for alternate means to remove it.

No problems with it yet
This fit my '01 RAM (gasoline engine) just fine. The cap is not much different than the original, the keyed lock insert is metal, but the rest is of course plastic. It is almost identical to the original in shape too. The keying seems to work well so far (time will tell), as some of these are poorly made, and fall apart. I haven't had this one long enough to judge its durability, but, with gas prices skyrocketing, and theft on the rise, having this thing may help deter some loser from syphoning my precious fuel. Pretty soon, the cost of this cap will be less than a single gallon....so you decide if it's worth it or not.

Broke after 5 months
The cap only lasted five months. The entire cap is lightweight plastic, but the key and core are metal, and after a couple of months, the key began sticking when trying to turn it. At the five-month mark, the key and core just spun and pulled out of the lock.

Junk, buy something else instead.
Bought this for my Ram 1500, was always a bit tricky to use but after a few months I pulled up at the pump to fill up, fuel needle was in the red so not many miles left in the tank, and it wouldn’t unlock, after struggling with it for a few minutes a queue was building up behind me, the top fell off leaving the base still attached to the truck f###!!!!!! My ring piece was now twitching like a rabbits nose.Finally managed to get what was left of the cap off and filled my tank, luckily I still had the original fuel cap in the truck so I refitted that.This fuel cap is junk, spend your money on something else.

It is kinda flimsy and can get come apart if forced the wrong way. More for peace of mind than a real deterrent to someone that wants to pry it off.

Does not even come close to fitting on a 2015 jeep renegade gas tank inletDon’t believe what the site says or the seller and it is a pretty cheap product at that.
