LibbeyAll-Purpose Glass Mug Set, Set of 12

I bought these to replace our mugs that get too hot in the microwave. I reheat my coffee for less than a minute and with ceramic the mugs get too hot and the handles break off.When I saw these mugs I fell in love! I decided on this shape because I love the way it looks and I wasn't disappointed!The glasses came very well packed and the box was wrapped in bubble wrap and a 2nd box so they were very well protected. I appreciate that!They have weight but not too heavy and they feel comfortable in your hand. The rim where you drink from isn't too thin nor too thick. The handles are comfortable and natural - and they fit in my cup hooks!!!They weigh 15.1 oz, I was curious so I weighed it lolThey look gorgeous when you layer espresso and milk in it and coffee just looks more inviting and tea looks so good too. It's a sexy mug!When I reheat my coffee the handle stays cool and I can actually pick it up! I'm so happy with my purchase!I love that Libbey is made in the USA and with glass you don't have to worry about chemicals.Best part? I have 12!!!

These mugs are nice and heavy,and hold quite a bit. The only problem is the seam inside the handle, which may be uncomfortable for your hand. Fortunately, my spouse has a flex-shaft hand tool that was able to smooth out the ridges. So now they are more comfortable to use.We like that they are glass, that won't put anything into your drink. We have had ceramics in the past, and the glazing always wore off after a while. We wondered what we were getting in our drinks as it wore down. No worries now!Added Feb. 12, 2012 - Now that we have had these for several months, we wonder how we put up with the ceramic ones for so long. None have broken yet, they are sturdy, and wash in the dishwasher well without puddles being left on top of the bottom when they are done. We love them. Being able to see the contents is a plus.

I really love these mugs. I was looking for clear mugs this style for a while but had no luck anywhere else. I ordered these and some of them were chipped and cracked but the majority were fine. I use them everyday for coffee and lattes. They are molded glass mugs so down the middle of the mug, there is a raised edge where the 2 halves of the mug were put together, basically like a raised seam. It is a little annoying but I do like the mugs and I am surprised that they broke so easily during shipping because they are thick. They are also easy to clean and very pretty when filled with coffee.

It took me a lot of time to finally order these, thought they might be too small but they are the perfect coffee mug size. They arrived packed extremely well, don't think they could have been broken with all that packing and big bubble wrap, plus cardboard dividers....They are a great size, as big as my old "big mugs." They are really beautiful! In the many months we've had them they look as good as new, wash up perfectly in the DW, no concave area to hold water there. No scratches. NO BREAKAGE in use--still have all 12 and we use more than 6 a day. No big ridges like some others. They are heavy duty (relatively) thick glass with an elegant shape. Considering they are only slightly over three bucks each, it is a sweet deal, although at the time I balked at the price. 12 was not too many! I got rid of all my other old coffee mugs with the scary (lead?) failing glaze and have no regrets about buying these. We love the Aerolatte frother too, and with these mugs you can see the head of milk foam.

Amazon warehouse was insane, and shipped a 12pack of these in nothing except the original box (with NO padding in between cups except the brown paper cardboard dividers) stuck inside a larger box with 2 (yes, TWO) puffy air pillows. What I received was 2 (again, yes, TWO) intact cups and the remains of 10 glass coffee mugs. (this is the same company that ships 3 boxes of panty liners cushioned in air pillows on all sides!) I suppose it is a testament to Libbey that 2 cups survived intact, but when I picked up the box from my front door, and heard loud tinkling sounds, I knew it wasn't good.I will say that Amazon was fantastic in quickly refunding me in full, after they received the box of shards (yes, I returned it in the exact same condition that I received it.).I gave it 5 stars, because I'm actually very impressed that 2 cups survived, and they appeared quite sturdy, and weren't even chipped. I think these would be excellent cups to use for kids as well as for specialty coffees. They're the right size and heft for kids, and perhaps slightly heavy for specialty coffees, but given that this only adds to the sturdiness, I'd take this any day over those Bodum double walled glass coffee cups that break when you look at them funny.
