Great for sensitive eyes while sunbathing!
For the price, these are so worth it. I don’t use for sleeping purposes, but I’ve always struggled with sunbathing on my back and looking up into the bright sunlight despite wearing regular polarized sunglasses and having my eyes closed. These do the trick as they as very dark, so dark you cannot see your fingers in front of your face. There is a bit of a gap underneath so if you do need to see something without removing the glasses, you can tilt your head down and see out the bottom. They are also pretty comfortable.

Unique Blend of Style and Functionality with Minor Drawbacks
I recently purchased the Stylish Sleep Mask from the Blackout Bands Store, intrigued by its innovative sunglass-style design. Priced at $25.99, it presents itself as a novel solution for those who need to block out light while traveling or seeking a discreet nap.First impressions: The mask's rubberized black finish gives it a sleek, modern look. It's definitely a step up in style compared to traditional sleep masks. As someone who wears glasses daily, I found the concept of a sunglass-styled sleep mask quite appealing. The transition was almost seamless, and it didn't feel out of place on my face.Material-wise, the mask is crafted from cotton, which is marketed as a natural material. However, the overall build doesn't scream high-quality; it feels somewhat flimsy, yet it has managed to hold up during sleep without falling apart. This durability, despite the initial perception of quality, is a plus.Functionality is where the mask shines and falls short simultaneously. It's quite effective at blocking out a significant amount of light, making it perfect for light-sensitive sleepers. However, it's not without its flaws. Light does tend to bleed through the edges, which might disturb those who are particularly sensitive to light during sleep.Overall, the Stylish Sleep Mask from Blackout Bands is a mixed bag. It scores high on style and the concept is certainly innovative. For glasses wearers like myself, it's a comfortable alternative to traditional sleep masks. Yet, the build quality and light leakage at the edges leave room for improvement. At its price point, it offers a decent value for those looking to combine fashion with function in their quest for better sleep during travels or quick naps.

LOVE THEM
They look excellent, I wish they had some silicone rim that will block all the light, but still, they do a knife job blocking most of it. Great idea when you need to sleep or meditate in a public place.

Blocks out light extremely well!
I have trouble sleeping if there is any discernible light in the bedroom. My husband likes to fall asleep with our huge flatscreen TV on. This seriously impacted the quality and quantity of my sleep. Over the years I have tried MANY different methods of blocking out the intrusive TV light, but no matter what I tried (other types of sleep masks, black towels over my eyes, to name a few) some light always made it through. ENTER NINJA BLACKOUT BANDS!!! This unique sleep mask has been a true godsend! The Ninja Blackout Bands BLOCK OUT ALL LIGHT. It is like going to sleep in a dark and restful cave. I am SO grateful for this EXCELLENT product. I would give these bands ten stars if I could. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!January 13, 2022 Update:This is an update to my previous review. Though I still like this product a good deal, I will no longer be purchasing them. I have purchased 7 pairs of these blackout bands, beginning in 2017 and ending in 2021. Unfortunately, the frames broke in each pair, but I kept buying them because they worked so well. I tried taping the broken places with duct tape, but this proved ineffective. I could not understand why they broke, as I am not a wild sleeper by any means. I am asthmatic and therefore sleep on my back in a slightly elevated position. I never sleep on my side or stomach, and don't move much while sleeping. I think the product could be improved if a different, less brittle plastic were to be used for the frames. The description claims the frames are "rubberized", but in my opinion, they are FAR too brittle and easily broken to be rubberized. They always break somewhere around the lenses. Twice I tried emailing the company, which is just a two-man operation, but I received no reply. I have decided to buy inexpensive ($6 on Amazon) sunglasses with extra dark lenses. I will cut wide black masking tape to form "patches" that I will stick on the outside of the lenses. I'll see how this works. At least I will be saving some money, as the blackout bands are not inexpensive. I regret having to make the decision to avoid purchasing this product again. With a little tweaking and improvement of the brittle frames, it could be great. I am now giving this product only 3 stars, due to its fragility.

these are real sunglasses with intensely dark lenses
These look like normal sunglasses, with real lenses. As you can tell from the photo of a lit lightbulb as viewed through the lens, that there is very little if any light shining through. I expected black plastic In lieu of lenses, but these are just super dark. 🤣.

I have used these glasses for several months now and they work great. They are perfect for in-flight naps as they really do block out the light. If you fit the glasses close to your face, there is very little light that filters through. They are light and comfortable, without all the annoying straps from a sleep mask -- and look stylish too. I have purchased a few more as gifts.
