What a good product! Looks good, the company name is written on the unit but not so flashy that it looks tacky, the detachable USB-C is unique and allows for a longer cable to be substituted and, even has a recessed entry for the cable on the unit to ensure that it's a solid fit - quite a challenge with USB-C as the spec. calls for a very loose and sloppy physical connection.The only criticism is that it lights up when plugged in - there's absolutely no need for that - which feels a bit tacky.

Good Product. Overall it works well. I do have a couple of concerns.1). I have to push my Type-C that came with my 2017 MBP in pretty hard to get it to register that it is charging through the adapter.2) When I disconnect the power from the adapter it "unsafely ejects" my usb that is plugged into the adapter, not every time, but most of the time. I even made sure everything remain connected when I unplugged the power and it still does it.I can NOT speak for the HDMI feature on this because I have not used it yet.Overall, this is a great product. I would recommend making the Type-C charging port a little shallower so I can plug in my charging cable easier, as well as looking into the usb-ejection when power is removed.I could have a faulty product, if so it still works greatEvan

I purchased this product so that I could dock my new laptop with a monitor via HDMI and a wireless keyboard and mouse. It was one of the few products that had all of the ports I needed. However, it cannot carry an uninterrupted signal. While programs will display perfectly on my computer, everything from word documents to streaming video has been distorted on remote screens. Also, it only works in one of my two USB-C ports on the laptop. I know the port is not an issue, because other items connect correctly and it is a new computer. However, this product comes up as "unrecognized" in one of the two ports. I would not recommend. Spending a little more for another product will provide a better user experience.

USB ports aren't usable, either on Mac or Windows. I tried peripherals as rudimentary as a mouse or keyboard, as well as a webcam...none were recognized by the computer. Unfortunately, the user didn't attempt to use the USB ports for about 6 months after purchase, so we didn't find out about the defect until it was too late to return. Based on the reviews, this isn't an isolated problem. Order a dodocool instead. Same price and works correctly.

I've owned this for 2 years. It works as expected. The wire casing is yellowing.

When I use this adapter and connect it to an HDMI cable the WiFi in my MacBook computer stops working. This rendered it useless for me as I needed to hook up my computer to my tv/monitors and be able to use internet for work/netflix/streaming

6 months later and it’s not reading usb anymore. Not strong enough to turn the hard drive on. HDMI still working but sometimes it gives me a blue screen on the secondary screen.

Works fine. The only down side with this unit is that it has to be installed right side up for the connection to work. Most USB-C adapters work fine upright or upside down. Not this one.
