I purchased the Longray ULV portable electric cold fogger to kill toxic mold and spores under and in my house. We used the spray bottle of RMR-86 to clean and remove the source of mold (inner Ceramics crack in toilet was leaking water under the floorboards and house for a year), then sprayed RMR-141 directly on the wood where the fuzzy green/black mold was growing in addition to a 100% wide perimeter (about 15 sq ft) all of this within a containment tent. We still have 3/4 of a bottle left. After it dried for a couple days, we used Rot Terminator to harden and seal all of the wood. We then used the ULV fogger with RMR-141 to fog the crawl space under the whole house and a basement studio apartment where a sewer ejection pump failure resulted in a sewage water flood. A water restoration and mold remediation company hadn’t completed the necessary steps in a timely manner and didn’t complete demolition of the total directly affected walls and floor. Upstairs we used the ULV fogger with RMR Botanical to fog 3200 sq ft of living space, every inch, including all furniture, wooden blinds, window treatments, inside cabinets, closets, mattresses, etc. We only used 1.5 gallons. Then the whole house was vacuumed and wiped down to remove the dead spores. I am highly chemical sensitive due to suffering from acute mycotoxicity, and because I am a scientist/doctor who has also studied homeopathy and naturopathic medicine extensively, knew the ingredients of the botanical spray would be safe for me AND kill molds/bacteria/viruses. **Q: You mention how the RMR-86 eats metals, what do you do about the drain in a shower?** A: I am not sure what you mean about the drain in shower. However I have used this product every where! Its amazing. I use in the shower, sinks, on hardwood floors, baseboards, patio furniture, and on my vinyl siding on my house. I think they are just advising you to test it in small area and stating that certain materials might counteract with this product. I will say, make sure you house is well ventilated when using, because it is really potent. **Q: What kind of "gas mask" should be used for treating a ceiling?** A: You want to use a 3M 6900 series full face mask with cartridges for mold and chemicals. You will also need to get a heavy duty Tyvek suit, shoe covers, and disposable gloves (you can buy a set with the suit, booties and gloves on Amazon for $10). I also suggest getting a ULV cold fogger and fogging the whole room, as live spores from the moldy ceiling will have dispersed over everything in the room, including the walls. If you don’t treat the whole room, these live spores will reinfect the space. Once you are done treating the room, remove the body protection immediately outside the room and dispose in a heavy contractor trash bag and take the sealed bag outside. Before removing the body protection, take your mask off and put in a trash bag, take it outside as well. Remove the cartridges, and use RMR Botanical to spray the mask to kill any live spores. Once the room is fogged, use a shopvac style vacuum with a HEPA filtration system and dust bag to vacuum the room top to bottom to remove dead spores. Once finished, take the vacuum outside and discard the dust bag in a contractor trash bag as well. **Q: Just got my product and sprayed it on. I read from some that it has a strong odor. Mine has absolutely no smell at all. Is it supposed to?** A: Good Morning The RMR-86 generally has a stronger bleach like odor. Some don't notice the smell while others do. The RMR-141, on the other hand, only has a slight lemon smell that is used as a tracer. This odor goes away after just a few minutes.
