I was a little skeptical of these but I need something to help prevent arm burns when reaching in the oven so I thought I would give them a go. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! These babies are great! I had the oven at about 400 F and decided to be brave and give them a little touch to see if they work. They were hot, but nowhere near hot enough to burn! Success! The only downside is that you could potentially dislodge or accidentally remove them when you pull a pan out if you slide it against the edge when pulling it out of the oven. Not a problem though, easy to put back on because they have a split on the back side that easily opens and slides over the edge of the rack but is serrated so it holds on tight. Great buy!

I bought these for a white elephant gift and after I explained what they are for (because it’s not easy to tell by looking at it) people were all over them! Apparently, burning your hands on oven racks is a lot more common than I thought. I am going to order more for myself! It’s a very cool and practical gift, that needs just a little explaining.

My poor hands are covered in scars from bumping the outside of oven racks accidentally, whether putting food in or taking it out. After my last really bad burn I ordered these and I am thrilled at how well they work! I’ve bumped my hands on them several times since and they keep your skin safe. No more burns! Fantastic idea!

I purchased these because I have always had a fear of being burned when taking things out of the oven. When we purchased our new oven, I decided to get these to go with it. They fit nicely and you can cut them to fit your oven or a particular spot that you want to protect. The problem with them, is that you cannot then just slide something out of the oven. You have to sort of pick it up to get it over the guards. Putting something in the oven is fine, but it is trickier when it comes time to get the hot pan out. This may be an obvious point to some, but it didn't occur to me when I purchased them. Despite this minor dilemma, they are still on our stove. We don't cook all that often that it is so inconvenient that we need to take them off, but for someone that cooks a lot, this may be something to consider. I also cannot speak to how well they protect you from the heat. I'm still super careful with the oven and haven't knocked my arm against them yet.

I have burned myself to many times on the oven racks. I saw this product and bought it right away. It was easy to put on the rack, just twist it on. I was wondering why it came three to a package. I thought I'll have one to put on my toaster oven. Then I realized one wasn't long enough to cover all the rack edge but cutting the third one in half had two rack edges covered. I can't see the join where the edges meet. I'm getting red for the toaster oven so I won't forget to take it off when I toss it in a year. I am very pleased with this product.

Great for this senior citizen and disabled housemate. Can continue to use oven.

I was always burning my hands on the edge of the racks in my toaster oven. Not anymore since using these! I had to trim some off to fit, but that’s okay!
