Malmsten Original Swedish Goggles Monterbara (Amber)

These are the only goggles my husband will wear. Not my preference but they fit him the best. The quality is great and they don’t fog up. He says they’re the most comfortable ones.

I’m an “old school” and have been swimming for 50 years. I’ve tried many goggles but I keep coming back to these. Once you figure them out, get them fitted they are the best regardless of price. I hate anti fog goggles as they only work for a little while but then get blurry with no solution. Learn to lick the inside of your goggles and live with a little fog. Extremely durable. If you don’t like the strap (I do) get you bungee cord strap -thin. I do that when the original strap wears out, this is the first thing to go. And that is after many, many hours of swimming. If you are new to Swedish goggles maybe you should start with a bungee as then the strap is adjustable. You can buy these and a bungee strap for less than most goggles. If you are used to Swedish Goggles then these are cheaper and better than the big name brands. The nose string is much easier to get through the holes when assembling. For some you have to get through the learning curve, for me I’m done trying to find better

Low quality and not functional.

These goggles are comfortable and don't leak on me. They're the only type of goggles I've worn in the last 25 years (since the first time I tried them) and probably the only type I will ever wear. They're great for anyone that they fit properly (such as the people giving 5 start reviews). However, they don't fit everyone, and if they don't fit, they usually leak AND hurt since there's no padding or gasket (hence a lot of the 1 star reviews). I recommend trying these goggles. If they fit you properly you'll love them. If they don't you'll wonder why anyone would ever wear them.

I have used these (or a variation of them) for many years. Once you figure out the fit, they are perfect - no leaks, and great visibility. My usual modifications are: 1) Sanding the areas around the nose to remove annoying sharp burrs. 2) Replacing the string nose bridge with a piece of the elastic band for easy adjustment. My only complaint is that these fog up (even with spit) after about 200m. So, do yourself a favor, and go for the anti-fog model. P.S. If you plan on diving with these to any depth over 2-3m, buy something with a rubber seal.
