Suction is good, actually on loose pile carpets it lifts them up, the rotary brush was OK for picking up cat hair. It is important to keep it emptied on a regular basis, the first filter visible in the container does seem to block up rather than the actual container bottom filling. There is a warning to keep filters clean. The exhaust filter in the top was well blocked after our house clean (about 1/2 hrs use), I guess this depends on the type of dust and debris that gets past the container filter. This top filter does a very good job though and the air smelt very fresh after use, unlike when using other cleaners, when there is a dusty smell and airborne dust quickly coats surfaces, excellent filtration confirmed.I have no no idea how long the cleaner will last, it is a cheap replacement for a Dyson design no longer available. I will review again in a years time or so. So far I and especially my wife are pleasantly surprised (although I do most of the cleaning), at first she did not want to use it, but ended singing it's praises. I just need to get some spare top filters, not sure where yet.

For the price this is the best vacuum cleaner I have bought. I wasn’t expecting it to be very good but I was wrong. It’s got great suction and is also very quiet. It’s light and easy carry while doing the stairs. Well worth the money

It is lightweight and easy to use, one downside is that the inner filter cone does not come out for deep cleaning. But the machine is good.

DO NOT BUYI really liked this hoover to start with, suction was good and it was light to carry up and hoover the stairs.I've only used it about 8 times .Today while I was hovering it just stopped working, I checked fuses and other obvious reasons that may caused it to stop working. It just seems to have broken completely

I have ten indoor cats, so I vacuum a great deal! I only vacuumed my house just a couple of days ago with my previous vacuum cleaner and I thought my floors looked fine. I have just finished vacuuming the house with this fabulous new model and I had to stop to empty it out FOUR times! I am so impressed with the power of the suction of the standard floor tool for my hard floors. A full size turbo brush floor tool is also included. Really powerful suction again - just brilliant on all my carpets. The pile is all lifted and the carpets feel like new under my feet! I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner!

We absolutely liked this hoover so much we bought our daughter one. Great suction power for it's size/money and works well on all surfaces. Sadly, within under 2yrs both the hoovers just stopped working. I stripped ours down and the motor smelt burnt out. For two bits of kit to have the same fault at roughly the same time normally shows it's not a single glitch and a manufacturing quality issue.

I really like this vacuum. Very light, and great suction on tiles, wooden floors and carpet. Removes pet hair really well, and super easy to empty the dust container. My only complaint, as others have commented, is that the cable is rather short. Also the plug comes out of the socket with the slightest tug, which, coupled with a short(ish) cable can becoming kind of frustrating. Otherwise, I am super happy with this buy.
