I bought this for my one year-old for our trip to Florida. I wanted it to distract him while on the long plane ride. I put it on the window because that's the only place the suction cup could adhere to. It needs a smooth surface like all suction cups. I often held it by the suction cup and it was still able to spin. It does make a lot of noise because of the little bells in the toy, but once the engines were going the toy didn't seem so loud anymore. It spins very well and doesn't get stuck even after it's been chewed and slobbered on by a teething baby. It's larger than I thought, but it made it easier for my children to enjoy.

I tend to travel with her quite a bit via airplane and these are great for her. They are easy to pack and perfect for entertaining kids. I bought these for my 1 year old son, but my 6 year old also loves playing with these! I saw reviews of some other spinners that complained of spots where a baby's fingers could get caught, but these ones seems completely safe for little fingers.
