He must use this on a child seat only because he’s trying to steer his way out of the regular seat belt.

I just have one complaint. The cover does not click on so when you unbuckle the belt the cover won't stay on the fastener. I suggest the cover come with some velcro strips. I glued velcro to the cover and the belt buckle and that fixed the problem. Otherwise, it does exactly what I needed it to do!

My special needs son started unbuckling his seatbelt, usually at the most inopportume moments like in the midst of a traffic jam or on the freeway. If a sibling was in the car, problem solved, but when it was just the two of us it presented an enormous safety issue.This product is a little awkward initially to use, but after a few times it becomes second nature. You do have to remember to have something to push into the slot to open the seat belt, but again it becomes habit to have something in your hand.I’m deducting one star because the online description does not make it clear that it is only to be used with car seats. The box clearly states “Warning: Never use on a seatbelt restraining a person.” This is in red on the side of the box. It also says: “Only to be used with child seats held in place by the seatbelt”That said, I will continue to use “off-label” until I find a better product.

I bought this product because I needed it for my dogs safety harness. When he's strapped in he has a habit of stepping on the buckle and releasing the belt. I Needed to stop his stroke of luck. I hope this product does that.I had hoped for a tight fitting product but this one is made to fit ALL cars even back to the 70's.My Trucks Buckle is 1 3/4" wide x 1 1/4" thick, the Product fits buckles up to 2 1/4" x 1 1/2".So it's a sloppy fit, but the seat belt keeps it from coming away from the buckle. Trouble is the Animal harness strap isn't as wide as a regular seat-belt; so the product slides up the belt and away from the buckle. I have added a thick rubber band to the belt to hopefully stop this.The cord is nice to attach a key to, so one is always handy.

My special needs son likes to unlatch his seat belt when he gets mad as he knows that it makes me mad while we're driving. I get it.. he's a kid. But I needed him to be safe. I had to make sure that there was always someone in the car next to him to make sure he didn't unlatch the seat belt. Obviously, this made life very difficult.Enter this product.I can now drive my son, by himself, in the car. He doesn't get nearly as mad in the car as he used to (probably because he's realized there's nothing he can do or maybe it's because I'm a lot calmer knowing that he can't undo his seat belt). Either way, I'm a very happy parent.

An awesome product but my crafty 3 year old figured out after a week or two how to break out of it.

It works as intended. I received it at night and placed it in that same night in the dark. It fits but I need to do some trimming on the edges since the buckles are tucked in the seatbelt in the car. On my truck where the buckles are not tucked in to the seat will work perfect. The trimming is just so I don't have to put a lot of force to click it and possibly break it. You can use any object that is slim to unbukl3 but I'm guessing it says car keys since you just have to take them out of the ignition and turn around in your seat to do it.

My child is an escape artist. He's too big for one of those car seats that looks like a spaceship, and he constantly is trying to escape his other car seat. I got this lock which is effective in it's own right, it does do it's job. But if you have a kid that is determined to escape, this will not be anything but a small road block on the road to freedom.So, this product 100% works as is intended. But if your kid is anything like mine? He'll hand it to you when you're going to put it on his belt, but then laugh as you walk to your seat since he's just going to slip out of it like some kind of danger seeking magician. Otherwise known as a magician.

Delayed delivery even though on prime still took 5 days ! but it gets worse... very cheap flimsy plastic that will break if child manages to jam a toy under clip (which there is space to do on both of our child seats buckles ! within 5 mins of fitting this my 2yr old had managed to jam part of a toy into the gap and was trying to lever it off, which he would have done if I had not noticed in the mirror and shouted at him to leave it alone. far from ideal at 70mph on the motorway.Country of origin is China and no BSI kitemark in sight. Coupled with the £10 purchase price for this is beyond a joke, probably cost less than 10p to make. packaging was a simple tiny unsealed cardboard box.Will be returning for refund ASAP
