Good potential but very awkward to use
So in order to actually access the water you have to unscrew the lid a bit, which if you’re giving the bottle to kids means they’re definitely doing to unscrew it completely and spill it everywhere, or it can spill by accident if you unscrew it too much. Unless you test the water yourself (not very hygienic) you can’t tell if the kids are actually getting water from the straw. It’s too complicated to send to nursery for this reason as the staff would never get it. So I ended up having to buy another bottle anyway. This bottle is extortionate and I can’t even use it - I bought 2 and wish I hadn’t bothered.

Bad design, leaks
I really wanted to like these water bottles. We've had two of them for a year now and although they're very robust, you can't suck water unless you unscrew the lid, pull the little stopper off (which then allows air to go in whilst you're drinking), and then screw the lid back on. To then stop it leaking when on its side you need to unscrew the lid, put the little stopper back on and screw the lid back on again. I just can't expect my children to do all of this when they're at school, plus it's unhygienic to get their fingers on the stopper all the time, which touches the water. I've been sending them in with the stopper permanently off and saying don't let your bag lie down, which is a bit wearing now! Inevitably the bottle is on its side at some point and water leaks everywhere.Another gripe is the non slip rubber coating around the bottle, it's always a real pain getting the bottle into the bottle holder pocket on their school bags, they don't just slide in, you have to manipulate and twist as the rubber bit is quite wide and very grippy. We've just bought new bottles from a different manufacturer and it's like a breath of fresh air! They don't leak on their side and just slide into these pockets.I would avoid these bottles if they're for children's water for school.

Just doesn’t work
So we bought this bottle as we really liked the construction and the reduced amount of plastic. The problem is the construction around the cap. The mouth piece leading to the bottle is soft and so the plastic flap compresses it meaning you can not get any liquid out unless you drink in a certain way.Our child simply can’t use it because of this and when I have tried to us it the pressure value in the lid hasent worked well enough so you have to loosen the lid to let it escape and liquid to flow.Just really dissatisfied with the product

Not worth, faulty product
The bottle itself is good but just a week through the purchase of the bottle, the water stopped coming through the straw when my toddler tried to drink. We had to remove the entire straw from the lid and put it back again to fix it and also had to release the air lock. This doesn't happen as one off, this happens each and every time. We got tired of it and started to drink directly from the bottle without straw. Not just this, the automatic lock for the straw gets jammed as well, we need to release it now and again. The bottle as such looks good but not fully functional.

Grandson loves it!
4 year old grandson opens and closes (and locks) it with ease, and loves it.Perfect for use in the car and does not leak when closed. The lock is perfect - it prevents it accidentally being knocked open and is easy for a child to use. The way the spout pops up when the button is pressed adds to the fun of using it.

The opening mechanism is faulty
The media could not be loaded. I bought 2 of these bottles for my kids school as they are perfect size and you can have cold and warm drink in it.The biggest issue here is that the opening mechanism is faulty. On 1 bottle it completly didn't work when pressed and on the blue one (as per video) it sort of works after a few tries. I found it difficult to operate this bottle with one hand so the child would struggle.Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product because of that design fault (although it does seem some people received perfectly working bottles). It is a huge shame as the bottle design and feel of the bottle is amazing.

Update
My grandson was so excited to have this water bottle but after his first few sips the bottle stopped working. He was unable to get any water out. After taking it apart, emptying the bottle and refilling it worked for one mouthful then stopped again. Very disappointed.Update: after persevering and watching how he uses this we understand better how it works, he was tipping the bottle up but because there is a tube inside as the bottle tipped water couldn’t get into the tube and there he couldn’t drink from it, you have to use it like a glass with a straw in, quite difficult to explain to him when he sees other people tipping their bottles to have a drink.

Great look, poor design
This product really looks the part. Great feel appeal, solid mechanism which is satisfying to open, and the included wire brush straw cleaner is a plus. All seems good, right?Sadly, the cap has a design flaw whereby when held in the open position it pinches the silicone straw connected to the mouthpiece, restricting water flow. I wondered why my child wasn’t drinking much water even though she loved the bottle, and this is why. Sometimes you can get a small flow of water, and other times it’s like sucking on a closed-ended hose.Even worse, it doesn’t seem that there is any way to get the cap apart to easily remedy the situation, as I think creating a groove in the cap would give the straw enough room to let liquid flow freely. Removing the screws still leaves what appears to be a fused cap remaining, so not much room to maneuver.Overall could have been excellent, but sadly the lack of reliable liquid flow (the one thing a bottle should do) makes this bottle a dud.
