This Pennington Smart Patch was as easy to use as following the directions on the bag. This grass seed mix includes mulch and fertilizer which helps the grass seed take hold and grow. The quality of the grass is also quite nice and lush when it finally grows in. The only downside is the value for the money as this bag is only good for filling in some bare spots.

Worked well.The first application on spots I put it in to thin and too late in the year. I've reapplied earlier this summer and put it in thicker and it is working great!

Do not purchase the Sun and Shade Mix if you live in the South! It was not until I had spread the mix that I read it was only for northern climates! There was nothing about that in the product description on Amazon. As advertised, the grass sprang up quickly. However, in spite of our having a wetter than usual spring and my watering the grass when needed, it quickly died when we had a few mid-90's days! Also, the coverage area is very small! I have wasted my time, effort and money.

I had several bald spots in my lawn after dethatching, likely a result of poor root growth due to overwatering. Even though it was practically perfect weather (above 50, lots of clouds rain) and I kept the moisture proper, the germination didn't show results for over a week and even longer in some locations. Also it appears the seeds may not be properly disbursed, because some areas spouted more than others, and lack of product in those areas was not an issue.But all that said, now four weeks out most of the areas have grown out, and I'm sure it will spread. It's still young grass where I'd rather not step on it, but it's mature enough to mow. So unless it doesn't develop properly from here (which I'll report if it happens), I would buy this again.

Certain five or Six days Grassle start and I haven’t seen anything yet. It’s been a week and a half. I’ve been watering it.

Incredible grass seed, worked much faster than the normal kind of grass seed you buy at Lowe’s. Haven’t full tested if it can withstand dog urination like it says but it definitely fixed old burn marks better than anything I’ve bought.
