This light is the real deal. It works great with very good visibility. I just got a floating dock and was concerned about night time boaters. I purchased a couple of different kinds of solar lights from Lowes. They were not effective and didn't always last all night. These work even when it's been cloudy all day. I would have paid twice as much to solve my warning light issue since I don't have power to the dock. I also got the magnetic ones so I just put them on the metal roof and that was it.

I used it to mark a driveway along a back country road so people can find my place the middle of the night. It charges off solar panels in daylight. Comes on at night and goes off in the morning. (Just as bright at end as beginning) It is bright enough to be seen///but not too bright to distract anyone. totally enclosed and weather proof.

Works great and no cord to deal with.

After almost a year of flawless service from my first pair (still going strong) I am ordering two more right now for the top ends of the hangar. The original two give off strong red flashes visible a mile away from the corners of my runway fence at our low-budget private grass airpark. The fence is technically farther than a twin's wingspan with gear at the runway edge lights but if someone starts to drift over and gets outside I still want to give them a last warning before props hit non-frangible poles. Again, have two of these on the corners and a string of non-flashing solar LED reds in between. True FAA-approved solar red flashers would be three hundred or a lot more each

Easy to install-just screw into place. Solar works well.

It was okay until water started to filter in, and the truth is the brightness is great but it started failing when the water settled in it.

This light is hardly visible from my porch and definitely not visible a mile away or even 1/2 mile. Very disappointed.

I have one on top of my ham radio tower. Works great!
