Sloppy Joe Hardcover – Picture Book, June 30, 2009

This boy is so much like the 4 boys in my family that My wife had to have it. When she read it she was laughing so hard she was crying. I (Dad) the oldest boy have raised bearded Dragons for years Kept Snakes, Turtles, Geckos you name it. My three sons all are animal lovers so my wife gets the whole total of this book and more. From the Fish tank which shattered and caused her to go in to labor with the first one to the time she found a snake in the Lego's or the Tree frog in the bathtub she gets to live this book. We had a gecko living in our house for years and we often fall asleep to the sound of crickets in the house. The sound of her screaming at night when she stepped on a crayfish in the middle of the night on her way to the bathroom is indelibly printed on my cranium. I don't think she has forgiven me yet for the Bullfrog tadpoles in the wash machine (I was catching them for my turtles and put some in my pocket. Don't ask!) She used to hate snakes and said they will never be in the house then my oldest son had to have a pair of corn snakes and they bred soon we had 20. Some times I think she would rather not have the frozen mice in the freezer next to the ice cream, I guess she must love me a lot.The second son keeps birds and wanted a pair of parakeets they fell in love now we have 40. We have not gotten to the neat part of the book yet where Sloppy Joe becomes neat, maybe next year...Read the book, yes there are really people like this in the world and we love our lives.

My class really enjoys this book. It keeps their attention and is easy to read.

The book is adorable! especially for smaller kids. It came in perfect shape. Recomend for kids.

I used this book along with a unit from teachers pay teachers to teach a lesson to my 2nd graders!

Received fast. Description was accurate. Cheaper alternative for replacement of a torn library book.

This book is great, especially for kids and parents who think that they have to be "perfect". Perfect often has different definitions.
