Phone Cases for Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S4 Case [Clear] Rugged Drop Impact Resistant Skin IV i9500 Tough Strong Protective Soft Jelly Shell Cover Skin Cases by Cable and Case?

This was my first experience with a soft case for my Samsung Galaxy S4. I was disappointed in the fit of the case. One corner just won't come up over the side of the phone and fit properly. Also, the buttons on the side are VERY difficult to operate. I can get the power button to work if I press it very hard but can't seem to make the volume buttons work. Also, there is a hard spot on the bottom corner that is kinda sharp. If it fit the phone I would spend some time to try and melt it down so it isn't so hard/sharp. But.... I am sending it back due to the fit.I will try a different case. (the one from Caseology looks interesting - and it's cheaper, too)UPDATE: When I ordered the blue case I also ordered a red one for my wife. The one for my wife came in a few days after writing my original review (above). The red one for my wife fits well and should work very well. The color is not at all as expected - translucent purple when we were expecting a vibrant red. I upgraded to 3 stars because the second one is quite nice - except for the colorUPDATE (2): After the case from "Caseology" Caseology Samsung Galaxy S4 [Retro Flex Series] - Slim Fit TPU Protector Shock Absorbent Bumper Case (Turquoise/Mint) [Made in Korea ] came in I re-evaluated my original review. I decided I liked the one I got for my wife better than the one from Caseology. The Caseology fits the phone very well and the color of the actual case is very close to what is depicted on the computer. However, it is a little slippery in my hand and a little thicker than this one. I finally traded with my wife because I like the feel of this one a little better in my hand. I upgraded to (4) stars because of this. I still can't give it (5) stars because the color is so washed out when compared to what is shown when you buy the product.

The day I received this thing I ordered a different kind! The photos are very deceiving. They appear to be opaque in color with a metallic accent on the edges. Pfft! They are a cheap, molded, transparent, colored plastic. The material similar to jelly sandals from the 80s. It is a somewhat pliable plastic, NOT a rubber or silicone.There are a few notable PROS:-These are a very slim and tight fitting design so your phone will still fit in charging docks, leather cases/holsters without a problem.-Being that these are plastic rather than rubber or silicone they slide easily in and out of your pocket.-The non slip edges are really fantastic. It's a very-easy-to-grip slightly studded texture.Total deal-breaker CONS:-No shock protection at all! The only damage protection you may get is from scuffing and wear to your phone's original case.-No screen protection at all! This cover is so slim it doesn't reach all the way to the face of the phone. If you drop the phone face first on a flat surface the entire face of the phone will come in contact with that surface.-Too tight to fit perfectly. I soaked the cover in warm water hoping it would expand or become pliable enough to stretch fully onto my phone. No such luck! Even with a prying tool the 4th corner just wouldn't pop fully into place.-Matte finish stains very easily. I didn't use my cover long enough to get it dirty, but other reviewers have stated that plain old dirt will leave permanent stains.-The glossy inside of the cover sticks to the glossy back of the phone. You can see the ugly spotting right through the back of the cover. See photo. It looks terrible! Because of this I immediately abandoned my phone cover and ordered a different kind.My top concern is phone protection, and then it has to look nice, so this particular cover was not right for me.

It barely fits. I would like it if it were just a smidge bigger. I had to play with it to get it to fit both the top and bottom where it covered both completely and matched all the "holes"But for the price, it is good. It is not the nice silicone one I was hoping - more a medium hard clear plastic. Which I guess is what "jelly" is. It's just jelly used to mean a softer plastic that isn't so slick. I really wanted something that has a grabby feel to it and this is too smooth. This is for a work phone and they now have told me they are buying an Otterbox, so I guess this will be my backup anyway.

The case barely fits over the phone... You can see that no matter how I put it on, one of the corners doesn't quite sit right. However, it's only noticeable if you really look for it, the case doesn't come off, and the buttons work fine. The soft jelly case is comfortable in my hand and keeps the phone from sliding off smooth surfaces. It's not bulky and adds a layer of protection. I will say I purchased the white case and it looked filthy in no time. I do wear hand lotion regularly but otherwise work in an office. I can't seem to get it clean again so would recommend a darker color if that will bother you (best luck I've had is a peroxide-baking soda mix).

I chose the rating because the case is quite good except for the fact the power button and the volume buttons are covered by the case which makes them harder to use. The only other issue is if I put the phone with the case on in a tight pocket the case starts to come off when I try to pull the phone out of the pocket. Other than that I really like the case.It is easy to put on and take off. It has a slim profile. It has a very small lip which at first I thought wasn't enough but it works just fine. I place the phone face down the screen is protected from scratches.

It's a pretty decent little case. I order them for the whole family. It's not bulky, which is nice. It also comes in a variety of colors, which is also nice. The only real complaint I have with it is that there is absolutely no protection for the front of the phone. If it falls screen side down, it's not going to protect anything. However, it's a really inexpensive case, so you can't really expect miracles. But, for the price, it's a good little case with an acceptable amount of protection and fits the phones well. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase.
